L-3 is a prime contractor to the government with products in communications, intelligence, surveillance and homeland defense. Annual sales range $15 billion.

Responsible for: purchase orders, work order releases, expedite and follow through with production.

Director of Supply Chain Management/Materials, IOLON, INC. (A Seagate Spin-off) 2000-2005

Iolon the largest manufacturer of tunable lasers, developed the first widely tunable small form factor laser for the Telecommunications industry. Iolon achieved an employee population of ~155 with sales of ~$20 million a year.

Negotiated all BOM component pricing quarterly with cost reductions of 5 - 15%. Sourced new suppliers, and moved 50-60% of the components off-shore to decrease bill of materials costs.

Achieved ~40 % cost reductions over a one year period through offshore sourcing.

Successfully created a world class Materials/Supply Chain/Purchasing and IT organization. Managed and approved all purchase orders for components related to the product(s), computers, software, services, and office equipment.

Avatar was a manufacturer of removable storage/disk drives. Approximate number of employee's 1500 at it's peak.

Collaborated with engineers to balance technical requirements with cost goals for new products. Relocated to Singapore while sourcing and qualifying new suppliers
