Senior IT Project Leader Financial Systems, Distribution, Server Administrator, Security Administrator
Responsible for the development, support and enhancement of Sony DADC’s ERP System (JBA Software). Sole Server Administrator for Symtrax software (Supervisor, Compleo, MapForms). Security Administrator for Sony DADC staff US/Canada. Specific contributions include: Responsible for all financial applications for Sony DADC Canada and Sony Music Canada. Federal and provincial taxation updates. Provide excellent IT support and service for Sony DADC and Sony Music Canada Responsible for all financial audits whether internal or for provincial governments. Responsible for Returns Processing System, Claims System. Designed and implemented a substantial upgrade for Sony Music to track customer returns and their return privileges.Server Administrator on Windows server utilizing Symtrax software for automated electronic output management and archiving for all AS400 iSeries reporting. Lead the implementation and updates. Design and maintain all company forms (invoices, waybills, returns) using Symtrax Compleo/MapForms software as a cost savings. Set up Automated AS400 outqueue monitoring for automated report distribution. Creating and maintaining mailing/distribution lists.Security Administrator on the IBM AS400 iSeries using JBA ERP software. Add/remove/change user id’s. Design menus for JBA for Sony DADC Canada and Sony Music Canada. Maintain user menu access.Design and maintain all barcode labels utilizing TL Ashford Barcode software on the AS400 iseries. Create a mass multi-purpose barcode system for the Distribution Division.Participated in moving distribution center to new buildings. Configured 2 warehouses for their user workstations and printers on the AS400 and in JBA environment. Re-configured Sony Music printers for their move to new building. Major changes to firewalls, secure FTP, etc. Security for Sony was high priority. AS400 system conversions to new platforms/iSeries.Lead the Canadian IT team in a new Cross Docking Shipping implementation for Sony Music to reduce warehouse requirements and at a substantial cost savings. Responsible for all daily, monthly and yearly processes. 24/7 remote support.

Responsible for the development, support and enhancement of Sony Music Canada’s ERP System (JBA Software). Server Administrator for Symtrax software (Compleo, MapForms). Security Administrator for JBA Menu Management. Specific contributions include: Spearheaded the data merger of Sony Music and BMG Music. Extracted all sales data and manufacturing data from the JBA ERP system and created another company called Sony DADC Canada. This was achieved without any business disruption. Create an interface between JBA Customer Master and Accounts Receivable to be sent to SAP system.Integrated the manufacturing system CMS into the JBA financials for invoicing.Participated in the new Global Royalties System (GRS) project for Sony Music Canada. Design and interface all Royalty data collected from Accounts Payable to GRS. Create a new Royalty Taxation extract for Revenue Canada for the artists and publishers. New system provided flexible reporting, data tracking, artist and publisher payments.Create a new Customer Claims Database. Interface the new Claims Database throughout the JBA ERP financials, returns processing so that the claim could be traced from start to end.Implement electronic output management system using Symtrax software (Compleo, MapForms, Supervisor) to distribute AS400 iSeries reports. Convert AS400 spool file reports to Excel, PDF, Excel automatically. Set up automatic monitoring of outqueues for automated report distribution. Archive reports. Server Administrator.Implemented Gelco (T&E software). Interfaced data into the AS400 Financial system.Create an A/P data extraction process so that Sony Music Canada could participate in the Global Netting process for the procurement of foreign currencies. This extraction would be sent via FTP and could save the company millions of dollars by being able to purchase foreign currencies with one transaction per currency.Create a data extraction process from the JBA General Ledger (G/L) in a file format to be sent to JD Edwards G/L for a monthly corporate feed. Design & modify all financial applications (G/L, A/P, A/R, Cash Management, Purchasing, Requisitions, Hyperion).Create a G/L extract for Hyperion G/L reporting and provide monthly transfer via FTP to Sony Music New York.Create a data extraction process to remove all of the Royalty data that resided on Honeywell Ultimate mainframe system. This data was transferred to the AS400 iSeries and then transmitted to the Global Royalty System. This data was used to perform many financial audits requested from the music artists.
