JOB OBJECTIVE

Electromechanical Designer / Mechanical Engineer

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

Electromechanical Design:Printed circuit board (PCB): Analog/digital, high density, multi-layer/conventional, SMT/ through-hole.Chassis and enclosures for chemical and industrial applications,die cast housing, sheet metal brackets / housing, racks and panels, injection molded plastic connectors, cable assemblies and wiring diagrams.

Mechanical Engineering: Hands-on design machinery for the systems like pick and pack systems, packaging equipment and high speed handling system, design custom springs for assembly fixtures and test the same for the Precision Automation Equipment industry.Designed and installed aqueous washers, coolant filtration sumps and other industrial wastewater process tanks, Preparation and documentation of facility modification and system drawings.

WORK EXPERIENCE

GE HEALTHCARE (South Plainfield, NJ)

Medical Diagnostics, Cyclotron Department

Position: Cyclotron Engineer (2000-2007), Technical Support Engineer (2007-2012)Member of a team designing a multi-vehicle modular track system and transfer units. Designed / reengineered mechanical and pneumatic components of radiation shielding and sample processing systems compliant with ISO 13485, ISO-9001, ASME Y 14.5 standard and FDA regulations 21 CFR 820. Reviewed and analyzed specifications and related data to assess factors affecting component designs.Reengineered and managed the servicing of automation components (robot arms / telemanipulators). Designed and Integrate radiation shielding system for sample processing equipment, such as solution plating assembly, fluid dispensing system, and sample-capture bottle assembly, reducing human errors and radiation exposure.Developed a pneumatic crimping system that improved sealing consistency, operator efficiency, and satisfied FDA regulations, prepared plant layout drawings (PFDs and P&IDs), construction schedules, environmental impact studies and designs to scope of the project as directed by the Lead Engineer.

Managed department CAD systems (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor,Solidworks and Revit).

Managed engineering documentation and facility maintenance documentation systems. Designs in accordance with cGMP process guidelines for pharmaceutical facilities.

Managed outside contractors for the maintenance and repairs of critical facility systems. Acted as primary liaison with outside contractors for the fabrication of specialized parts and process equipments. Prepared site plans and obtained local construction permits.

Designed electromechanical components of commercial transport aircraft instruments. Projects include: 1. Static Inverter for rotary wing aircraft (PCB layout, schematics, cable assemblies, heat sink, chassis and enclosure), 2. DC-DC Converters for commercial helicopters.

Position: Design Engineer/Technical Resource Specialist (1992-1997)

Member of a team designing and managing the automation of a newly constructed pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Responsibilities included hands-on design of hardware (PLC Interface, scale Interface, cable assembly, connector, and interconnection wiring diagram, rack mount chassis, moveable operator Interface enclosure) and installation/configuration of cGMP and safety version workstations.
