Monitor a large NIPR/SIPR network and accomplishes the rapid recovery of network, IDS/IPS and VPN device outages. Conduct or monitor network maintenance as directed by Senior NOC personnel. Operates under the supervision of the Shift Operations Manager or designee. Responsible for the monitoring the network and the timely resolution or escalation of problems to the appropriate engineering disciplines to ensure that network services meet established Service Level Agreements. Identify and evaluate network, IDS/IPS and VPN problems, determine risks, and mitigate their affect. Serve as an escalation point for device outages. Document in detail all device events, and the steps taken to resolve device outages. Comply with all established processes and procedures.
