Provided janitorial services, supervised & trained employees in several large retail stores in and around Knoxville and Sevierville, TN. I served as a liaison with all management and did trouble shooting in all stores under contract. I managed all inventory, purchase orders, equipment maintenance, and made all reports to management, and assisted customers when store associate was unavailable. I set up janitorial department and opened with the newest & largest Home Depot store in Sevierville, TN.

KENNEL TECHNICIAN / SUPERVISOR, and GROOMER: Holiday Pet Inn/ Holiday Pet Enterprises, and Westshore Grooming 08/1987-02/1988 Tampa, FL Supervised employees and assisted manager at a boarding kennel and grooming shop operated by a veterinarian owned conglomerate. We dealt with customer service, and retail sales of feed and supplies. I advised manager on problems or improvements needed; and presented options, and helped implement those programs or procedures, with a resulting 50% increase in revenues.

RELATED EXPERIENCE: I was owner, co-owner, and manager of five small businesses. I made all decisions and managed monies, promotions, advertising, sales, purchases, customer service, work, and personnel. I also represented the businesses at shows and other venues. We operated with a 25% to 50% profit for 2/3 of the years and with a 100% customer satisfaction in the quality of our products and service, and a customer referral rate that produced a one year waiting list and so many customers that we occasionally had to refer customers to other companies.

I identified and corrected many problems with records & inventory, time & efficiency, productivity, tracking of work and person/s responsible, and improved morale for two other businesses. This produced a 50% or greater improvement in all areas and allowed management to focus more on the customers rather than supervising routine tasks.
