As chief prosecutor, I managed an office of 7 staff, including 2 assistant prosecutors, 3 legal assistants, a criminal investigator, and a victim services coordinator. Also managed college interns and high school interns.
I supervised all criminal prosecution, including cases of child abuse and neglect; juvenile delinquency, property crimes, and all other types of crimes.
I achieved convictions against defendants in Randolph county circuit court for numerous felony crimes including armed robberies, malicious assaults, sex crimes, child abuse and neglect, and property crimes (forgery, uttering, and embezzlement).
I provided an annual budget to the county commission for approval, and managed submissions to the commission to make payments on my behalf, within budget confines. I also served as counsel to the county commission regarding administrative and regulatory issues, including zoning, annexation, and land transfers.
