SKILLS
I have extensive kiln building and firing experience. I have built up draft, down
draft, cross draft, catenary and sprung arch, train, wood, salt and soda kilns. I
am also very familiar with electric kilns of all kinds, changing elements, rewiring,
changing panels and adjusting cone setters. In November I finished a new two
chamber climbing wood kiln for College of the Ozarks.
I am confident executing and teaching slab, pinch, coil and wheel forming
techniques with expertise in large vessels on the wheel and teaching functional
mechanics.
