Journeyman Electrician

SUMMARY

I am a journeyman electrician, with 10 years in the field. My experience ranges from street lights to compressor stations. Commercial, Industrial, you name it. Always keeping safety in mind. Individual with a 10+ year history doing electrical work. Expert in the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment. Additional responsibilities included work crew supervision, scheduling, job planning, and job site safety compliance.

EXPERIENCE

Journeyman Electrician - 2009 to Present

Redi Services, Lyman, Wy

I have been Working on cathodic protection. Install rectifiers, disconnects, piping, and GFCI protection.

* I have been doing my own take offs, material ordering. building from scratch. Its been fun.

I/E - 2008 to 2009

* Ran a fiber optic project, cathodic protection project, erosion control project, help with organizing other projects that I participated in.

Electrical Foreman - 2005 to 2007

My crew was bending 1/2 tubing in the acid gas injection side of shute creek. Over a Year ago i was sent to shute creek to install heat trace.This was only a temporary job until Chevrons work picked back up. I was working for Chevron on pump jacks, building well sites, metering stations ect. Setting up PLC's, wiring and installing instruments, and running tubing.

* Getting the job done safely. Benefits myself as well as the company which I work for.

* Bending conduit, tubing, operate equipment, wiring solar arrays, and instruments.

* Doing a great job for the client means more work for the company.

Journeyman Electrician - 2004 to 2005

Basic Energy, Exxon Mobil

Commission heat trace panels. Verify proper operation. Anything that wasnt working, we were required to troubleshoot it and get it fixed. Including the panels, transformers, breakers, and ect.

* While employed we were also given a list of other jobs to do while the construction became more complete. Helping with maintance and turn a round.

* I was offered a permanent job at shute creek, not interested in sitting inside waiting for things to break or doing maintance.

Lead person - 2003 to 2004

Elkhorn Construction, Opal, Wy

Ordering parts, time keeping, keep job moving. Terminating,duct bank, running conduit, wiring up transformers, installing cable tray, installing cable, install lights, make labels. Lay out half of crew, assign job tasks, make cable schedule, ect.

* After only two weeks on the job, i was given a raise and a promotion. Determination pays off.

Journeyman Electrician - 2003 to 2003

Buffalo Gap I&E, Buhl, Idaho

Built a compressor Station for Williams. Jobs included bending and installing Rob Roy, lights,switches, grounding, instruments, panels, pulling cable, and ect.

* This was my first compressor station. I learned alot. This crew then move to Murtah, ID we then finished that station. Hard work pays off. Inspector called me about job in Wyoming.

Journeyman Electrician - 2002 to 2002

Mountain States, Jerome, Idaho

Working on Lactofarin Project, running stainless conduit for motors, switches, crane hoist, lights, and hoa's. After that we went to build a warehouse. Half of warehouse was freezer. Wired up freezers, three sections, (football field per section).

* Installed under ground conduit, lights, hydraulic lifts for the train cars freight. Signal lighting for trains. Disconnects, ect.

Electrical apprentice - 2000 to 2002

Wheeler Electric, Twinfalls,Sun Valley,Burley,Rupert

Learned the use of small track hoe, line truck, trencher, bucket truck, and a crane. Jobs were properly designed, and executed at a fast pace.

* Street Projects:Installing all underground piping, drilling & mounting ped heads, push buttons, signal lights, street lights, pulling the wire, terminating the controller and j-boxes.

* SunValley Storage: Installing disconnects, meters, door openers, outlets, floor heating, lights.

* Thunder Springs: Installion and wiring of condos, health spa, elevators, mechanical rooms, swimming pools, waterfalls, walkways, and ect. Also installed fiber optics, telephone, fire alarm systems.

* Mini Mall : Four stores. Lights, outlets, storage, building signs, emergency lighting.

EDUCATION

Journeyman Electrician - 2000

College of Southern Idaho, Pocatello,ID

I received my education thru the IBEW ( International Brotherhood of electrical Workers). Five years of night school after working 8 or 10 hrs, After my training I took my Journeymans test in Boise, ID. I received my Lincese.
