GENERAL OVERVIEW
Ken is a businessman, a builder, a Realtor and an attorney with extensive experience in real estate brokerage, development,
lending and construction.
Ken has been in real estate for over 30 years. Few brokers, if any, have the breadth or depth of experience that Ken
possesses.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Ken is a cum laude graduate of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He earned his law degree at the American
University, Washington College of Law, in Washington,, D.C. Ken also completed a two year masters level program in
Spiritual Psychology (counseling skills and theory) at the University of Santa Monica in California. In addition to the
counseling training Ken received at U. Santa Monica, he was a certified practitioner in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP).
Ken completed 100's of hours of course work in Construction Business Management, Construction Estimating and Solar Energy,
as well as course work in other business, real estate and construction matters, including environmental inspections, mold, fa ir
housing and others.
Ken completed, among other classes, training in Mediation; Collaborative Law; ADR in Maryland Circuit Courts; Theory,
Practice and Rules of Arbitration; Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution; and Dispute Review Boards.
BUSINESS AND LEGAL EXPERIENCE
Attorney, Realtor, Builder, Developer. General business law practice with a strong emphasis on Professional Practices, Real
Estate transactions (acquisitions, leasing and financing); civil litigation, including business related and construction disp utes;
bankruptcy adversary proceedings, employment and independent contractor agreements, trademarks and medical business
practice and restaurant business management.
Substantial first-party real estate development and construction management experience including mixed use
office/retail/residential projects; Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded; Adolescent Psych -Ed Facility (tenant: DC
Government Public Schools); Headquarters for Maryland Higher Education Commission (tenant: State of MD); apartment,
office and retail buildings, restaurant buildouts, condominium conversions and historic renovations. Proficient in
commercial leasing, commercial and residential property management and brokerage sales management operations.
