You need to expand on things, Tell a few things that you did with babysitting and selling flowers and who you sold flowers for etc
Example:
ABC Flower Shop, Charleston, SC March 2011- present
-- Greeted customers and answered phones
-- Assisted with floral arrangements
--Took down detailed orders for customers floral arrangements
(may not be what you did just throwing stuff out there)
Also for HS state that you have a diploma if you do.
Mention what computer skills you have and definitely expand on your "practical skills because that doesnt really mean much just like that. Posts: 86Joined: Thu Jul 21, 2011 10:27 am

it needs filling out a little. You could specify the skills you gained during the various phases of your life.
For example you did babysitting, so actually state what that involved (responsibility for other people's children, realiabilit, building rapport with children. And when you sold flowers, was that part of a team? did you meet sales targets? what kind of flower selling was it? did you learn about the types of flowers, did you like offering good customer service? did you handle money? These are things employers will want to know and see on your resume.
Same with your activities, spell out to the employers what skills those things have given you. For example you were rotary club treasurer. What skills does that show? A busy employer will just read past that and not even notice it's there... so spell it out.
It helps to have a profile/ a little summary of what sort of person you are, what you're looking for. Do a search for resume profiles to get an idea of the way they sound like.
An enthusiastic team player who enjoys giving great customer service. Comfortable with handling money, reliable etc etc etc. Hope this helps
