Relevant Experience

Xenia Executive Coaching and Retreat: Integrates leadership experience with leadership coaching principles.

Offers executive and leadership coaching via teleconference or on-site at Xenia. Designs and guides small group

retreats for those wishing to see what is and consider what could be. Conducts workshops focused on women and power: Personal Power, Professional Power, and Executive Power.

Chief, Medical Modernization and Planning and Senior Analyst, Medical Programs and Resources,

Responsible for planning and programming of Air Force Medical Resources. Advised the Air Force Surgeon

General on the strategic environment and its impact on health care structure, process, and outcome. Represented the Surgeon General interests on Air Force and Department of Defense working groups and committees. Led the

medical modernization planning program and oversaw the new corporate structure process. Conducted strategic

planning activities.

Director, Interagency Information Management and Technology Planning and Integration. Led the

Department of Defense prototype development of sharing of health information resources with other Federal

agencies: Departments of Veterans Affairs, Labor, Commerce, Health and Human Services, Bureau of Prisons,

Coast Guard, Navy, Army, and Air Force. Wrote reports to Congress, presented informational briefings at the

Secretary level and to Congressional Commissions, Presidential Task Forces, and the Institute of Medicine.

Member of the Department of Defense Military Health System 2025: futures planning group. Knowledgeable in

alternative futures theory and application. Subject matter expert on interagency sharing, organizational

improvement, reengineering, and knowledge management.

Medical Inspector, Secretary of the Air Force. Provided staff assistance, training, and assessment of strategic

planning, organizational performance improvement, managed care planning and delivery, life safety compliance,

information management, and other administrative functions. Utilized Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organization guidelines in assessments.

Regional Staff Analyst. Assisted in establishment of a demonstration model for a regional coordinating

organization encompassing 3 hospitals and 17 medical and dental group practices to share government resources in the Delaware Valley. Resolved issues affecting optimal resource utilization of over $49 million budget and 2200 assigned personnel. Set up health care delivery services and administrative sharing opportunities.

Medical Facility Experience. CEO, COO, CFO, CIO, and Disaster Preparedness Officer in varied treatment

facilities. Oversaw medical operations and recovery from two typhoons. Initiated and executed over 15

construction projects to include replacement of water system, asbestos abatement, major mechanical systems,

expansion of urgent care and dental clinics, and design of free standing aero-medical and public health building.

VA/DoD Joint Venture. The primary financial negotiator--developed new methodology for reimbursement--

became the model for future joint venture activities between the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

Provided guidance and integration of over 30 committees. Reviewed and monitored design/build construction

projects of three collocated medical treatment facilities and with different contractors, architects, and funding

groups. Developed and implemented programs to establish and support collaboration. Consultant on joint venture

development.

Other Experience

Planned and executed medical care services for over 19,000 natural disaster evacuees over 10 days including rabies quarantine operations for over 1,500 animals. Vice Chair, Health Information Technology Work Group reporting to the Presidential Quality Interagency Coordinating Task Force; requested presenter at conferences and workshops; as one of the few senior women in the career field acted as mentor; developed career paths and recognition opportunities for subordinates. Advisor to the Board of Directors, Valeo (non-profit organization). Over 24 years of military service, retiring in the rank of Colonel. While on active duty held Top Secret/SCI clearance.
