Maintenance Mechanic (June 2006 to October 2010): Responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance on all packaging equipment in a potato processing plant which delivers over 200 different quality products. Was responsible for the direct supervision and training of up to 21 other nuclear-trained mechanics in the operation and maintenance of power plant systems and support components during startup, shutdown, normal operations, and testing of systems. Safely oversaw numerous planned and corrective maintenance actions of propulsion plant associated systems during both operational conditions and shutdown conditions. Aided in the qualification and training of many sailors to prepare the ship for workups and sea-trials essential to the Navy.
