I have worked in 2 correctional settings. I started working for the state of Ohio in 2006 as a Correction Officer. I am currently working as a Corrections K-9 Officer at the Lorain County Jail. I have dealt with offenders and inmates on many levels. As residents waiting to go to court or trial. I have dealt with sentenced inmates. I have also dealt with inmates that have a wide range of behavioral to mental illness issues. I have been attending LCCC taking Criminal Justice courses and will soon graduate. I have a good sense of how my college degree will apply to my hands on career.
