12/03 - Present Unix System

Administrator - NuVox Communications

Senior UNIX System Administrator responsible for the day to day

administration and architecture maintenance/design of a complex

100+ Server, 24X7

production environment consisting of Solaris, HP-UX and Linux

servers. Architecture responsibilities include analyzing and

documenting existing system architecture data and workflows, designing

and implementing new cost effective/maintainable system architectures

to meet evolving business requirements. System adminstration job

responsibilities include 24X7 oncall production

support, backup management for Veritas NetBackup and HP

Company

Under contract to Michelin North America as a senior Unix System

Administrator. Responsibilities include day to day system

administration, emergency 24X7 on call/pager support and project

support for a large 150+ server production environment. Operating

systems include AIX 4.x/5.x, HP-UX 10.x/11.x, Solaris 7/8 and Red Hat

Linux.

Provided database/dba support for Oracle, backup management and data

recovery using Veritas Netbackup,

HP-UX Ignite, IBM Sysback. SAN management using EMC, Clariion,

Hitachi, IBM ESS and NetApp storage. Server hardware includes IBM

RS/6000

servers,

HP 9000 Series 800 servers and Series 700 workstations. Developed

and maintained extensive scripting environment using UNIX Shell

Short term contract with Denny's Restaurants to migrate 3 production

HP-UX systems from outsourced vendor support to inhouse support.

Installed, configured and tuned HP-UX 11.0 on HP 9000 Series 800

Class and N Class servers. Developed and modified UNIX shell scripts

and PERL scripts. Installed and supported application software
