Sample Control Supervisor

I fulfilled the responsibilities of a sample control technician for 6 years at an environmental laboratory. Completing tasks such as; receiving samples along with a legal document stating what analysis are being requested, entering the sample information in a database, labeling the samples with a unique ID and placing the samples in appropriate storage facilities. Answering a multi-line phone system, greeting clients upon arrival, filling bottle order requests, sending the orders via FedEx, UPS, USPS or by a local courier.

I was promoted in 2010 to supervise the sample control department. I supervised the department and five employees for two years.
