1. Objective
To practice the science and art of Chiropractic as it relates to the health field and all health conditions. I intend to
learn every aspect of this field, but specialize in the preventative care philosophy that Chiropractic exhibits. I will
not only strive to treat chiropractic-related disease, but I will also diagnose other health conditions and determine the
appropriate care to provide for every patient.

was under the supervision of Dr. William F. Updyke, D.C. Associate Clinical Professor. This entailed performing
history and physical examinations, diagnostic imaging, physiotherapy modalities, wet reads of radiographs taken,
diagnosis, rehabilitation, manual muscle stretching, flexion/distraction techniques, and diversified spinal
manipulation.

Emergency Housing Consortium Outreach EHC is Santa Clara County's largest provider of shelter,
housing opportunities, and supportive services for homeless individuals, families, and youth. We recognize
that a solution to homelessness and poverty requires more than immediate needs assistance, so we develop
effective, self-sufficiency strategies through an array of supportive services known as the Continuum of
Care. While acting as an Intern, I had the opportunity to work at the EHC to provide chiropractic care to the
underprivileged or those that were of special need. While there, I was able to develop my skills in
examination, diagnosis, diversified/drop/activator adjusting, and proper record keeping.
City Team Ministries Outreach City Team Ministries is a non-profit organization serving the poor and
homeless. As an acting Intern, I was able to volunteer my chiropractic services to serve these people.

Primarily responsible for maintenance of a 15 unit complex. Duties included rent collection and deposit, record
keeping, new tenant interview and application processing, vendor scheduling for remodeling/repair, tenant/neighbor
dispute resolution, tenant contract termination, and a variety of maintenance/repair. Organizational skills as well as
communications skills were required.

employment required an extension of duties to cover this complex.

2002 Reading/Writing Tutor

Read Santa Clara offers free one-on-one or small group tutoring to English-speaking adults who want to improve
their reading, writing and/or math skills. As a volunteer tutor, I completed 12 hours of tutor training within the
program. In the program, the learners and I worked in a partnership using methods and materials that are relevant to
the learners' needs. Learners work on goals related to their family, work, community and personal lives. "Real-life"
materials such as employment applications, maps, product labels, children's books and other materials chosen by
learners were used in lessons as well as free instructional resources provided by the program.

During this 2 year period, I assisted the President of the mission in training and managing other missionaries and
