I am a professional chef and graduate of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts: Scottsdale.
I have a combined more than ten years' experience in the culinary field, with the last four years consecutive.
I am a student of Italian, Japanese, and North African cuisines.
My most notable strengths include solid leadership, a keen eye for presentation, creativity on-the-fly, superb knife skills, and a natural talent for interacting with people.
During my combined experience, I have worked on the line in high-volume and fine-dining restaurants, catering, personal chef, and training of staff.
I also have experience in inventory, food/labor cost control, and menu planning as I have also maintained my own small catering business since 2010.
In addition to my culinary skills and experience, I served for 12 years as a United States Marine, where I was certified as a Master Instructor; having demonstrated the ability to teach, as well as lead and learn when necessary.
I am in the process of relocating to the Charleston area from Florida; I am currently in the area until January 1, 2013 spending the holidays with my family.
I have a short-term contract position in Florida that runs until January 15, 2013, after which time I will be permanently in the Charleston area and ready to begin full-time employment.
I am very dependable with a professional, yet positive, attitude. With my skills, experience, and personality I would be a great asset to you!
I have a full culinary resume ready to send to you for your review, as well as many references.
I am looking forward to living in the Charleston area and working for you!
Best Regards,
Jason M. Cortright, C.C.
