Employment History

Diplomat Specialty PharmacyProgrammer/Analyst IIIJune 2011 - Present

I am currently continuing my career as a .NET software developer but am now more focused

on web technologies. I am currently a lead programmer and designer for a number of small

projects and also work as a mentor for other developers on the team. Diplomat started down

a path of attempting to implement the Agile/Scrum methodology for software development

project management. I received some formal ScrumMaster training from CollabNet and was

hugely impressed with the process. I am currently working toward becoming a certified

Scrum Professional and ScrumMaster through Scrum Alliance.

In addition to smaller projects, I am also part of the design and development team for

the next iteration of the enterprise workflow management system used to track patient care

for Diplomat's mail-order customers.

Bay Arenac Behavioral HealthIS Analyst / ProgrammerApril, 2007 - June 2011

I left ADP to continue my pursuit of application development again. I became a member of

a 5 man development team working on various projects, including ASP.NET web, Windows

forms, and WPF applications. I was the lead developer on a number of projects using

technologies from SQL Server 2005 and BizTalk 2006 R2 server to web and WCF services. I

used the CSLA.NET framework for business object architecture, and WPF (Windows

Presentation Foundation) for user interfaces for multiple project implementations.

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP)

Interface SpecialistFebruary, 2005 - April, 2007

I left NBI Solutions for a substantial salary increase. At ADP, I was one among a team of

9 responsible for the transfer of inbound and outbound payroll and benefits related files

between ADP, ADP clients, and Benefits vendors. This was accomplished using Windows

2000/2003 command line scripts and the Autosys enterprise scheduling software. Files were

sent using the Windows command line FTP client, WSFTP, and Tumbleweed for SecureTransport

related transfers.

NBI Solutions, Inc.

.NET DeveloperJune, 2003 - February, 2005

My father, a 25+ year programming veteran, started his own company doing development

work. Our first project was an ASP.NET web application for the General Motors Network

Engineering Center (NEC) to reduce the labor involved in their network design and

implementation estimating process. They had previously been using spreadsheets that took

several weeks to move through their process to return an estimate to a client (the GM

plants and other facilities), and using our application that turn-around was reduced to

about 1 week. I was kept on-site to improve some of their other existing MS Office

documents that had been extremely problematic. By the time I left, I had re-authored

nearly every major document, greatly increasing its functionality and stability.

Borders Group, Inc.

Help Desk TechnicianDecember, 2002 - March, 2003

This was a temporary position provided by Kelly Services during their Windows XP upgrade

which borrowed staff from the existing help desk team, whose positions needed to be

temporarily replaced. When the upgrade was completed, my contract terminated.

NetworkTwo Communications Group, Inc.

IT AnalystJune, 1999 - October, 2002

My experience here took me through the setup, administration, and trouble-shooting of

Windows 98 and Windows 2000 installations, the Y2K non-fiasco, a company-wide Windows 2000

upgrade, and eventually to Windows 2000 domain administration. During this time, I also

achieved my MCP and MCSA certifications. NetworkTwo eventually declared bankruptcy and

laid off the majority of its employees. It was later acquired by Copernica Networks, where

I was re-hired as a Network Administrator until the former NetworkTwo was closed

completely and all personnel were laid off.
