name is Will. I am an application developer with approximately 7 years of database and application development experience. I have also been developing web based applications using ASP, Cold Fusion, JavaScript and more for approximately 5 years. I have a very strong international background and I have been working with law firms in various capacities for most of my professional life. Until recently, I was the Senior Application Developer at Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold. My primary toolset, for the past 7 years, mainly consists of: Microsoft Office Visual Basic for Applications (especially Access, Excel and Word), Visual Basic 5 &6, SQL 6.x, 7 and 2000, Cold Fusion, ASP, JavaScript and HTML. I have worked with small Access databases as well as huge databases (SQL Server, Informix, and Oracle). I used ADO, RDO, JRO, OLE DB and COM in my development. Using Transact SQL, I have created stored procedures, extended stored procedures (C triggers and cursors. I automated processes and integrated systems to allow various departments to collaborate and streamline data entry and centralize business logic. Using Cold Fusion, VB/JavaScript and HTML I have also developed secure Internet / Intranet / Extranet dynamic websites. My web development skills can contribute significantly to any website creation, administration and enhancement. Also, as a consultant, I advised small to mid size law firms on how to use existing technologies to effectively increase their return on investment. I have done everything from assembling their desktops to creating LAN networks and creating custom legal databases for their specific needs.
