Internally recruited to manage the full software development life cycle of two software development teams. The first, Intelligent Services Peripheral, was an embedded network system providing highly-available real-time call-processing support (out-going voice processing, voice recognition, and DTMF-based menu processing). The other, ASMS/AIN, was a highly-tunable J2EE-based (Weblogic) provisioning system coordinating activations and updates in network management systems.

* Rolled out new strategic Hosted Solutions offering for a number of Mobile Virtual Network Operators by resurrecting an essentially discontinued product into a core component of the solution. In order to meet an aggressive time-line, re-staffed and reorganized the team (including off-shore supplementation in India).

* Achieved a 20-fold increase in throughput capacity by re-architecting an aging product to a scalable and highly-available distributed (N+1) Oracle RAC blades-based cluster configuration. Successfully directed Oracle tuning and debugging efforts to resolve initial sub-optimum performance issues in one of the customer deployments.

* Saved over $400K/year in staff expenses by coordinating a partial off-shoring of the product development team to Chennai, India lab.
