I have developed procedure for Preventative Maintenance program on the dies, ordering parts and developing a parts list entered into our 7I, Data Stream Reporting system. I Developed a Certification program for fin press operators. I developed a rebuild program for a realistic cost. I have created a procedure for Trane’s die rebuild program. I currently control re-building 75% of Trane’s dies world-wide. I am reducing outside vendors and keeping all work in-house and saved over $350K in 2011. I have been a key player in different line start-ups and continue to monitor these lines for quality product.
Fin Press Technician, Aug.2004
This position requires that I create training processes and SOP’s for the punch presses. Train new associates how to safely operate the machinery, trouble shoot for problems and inspect for quality parts. I developed and wrote the training manual for fin punch presses to be used though out the Trane Co. I am responsible for all presses in the plant, excluding maintenance, reporting to the Training Manager. I have completed my Six Sigma training and presently working on my Greenbelt projects. Assisted in press and die acquisitions and assisted in machinery set-up with contract riggers.

Self-employed providing a pressure washing and cleaning service to residential and commercial accounts. Major accounts were Circle K, Acme Oil, The Pantry’s and various local businesses and residents. I was an active member of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce and had developed excellent working relationships with the customers. I sold the business to my son.

Senior Process Engineer
I was hired to set-up, schedule and teach training classes for the shop floor, while reducing part cost, providing a smooth through- put, creating new routings in order to increase effectiveness and efficiency rates. I programmed CNC equipment using CAD-CAM and worked as a mediator between shop floor personnel and upper management. Cooper provided and I attended numerous training classes to increase people skills. I worked off shifts and was in charge of all plant engineering operations. I was involved with ISO 9000 and some knowledge of SAP and MAPICS. I left this job because the manufacturing business was going soft, I was afraid off a lay-off, and I had started a small part-time cleaning business that was expanding rapidly.

I created and improved routings for plant efficiency. Programmed shop floor equipment for process improvement and manufacturing of parts. Provided assistance to the shop floor personnel. In the evenings, I taught classes for S.C. State Technical Schools and a substitute instructor for Midlands TEC.

Tool & Die Maker
I built specialized tools and dies for the manufacturing plant. I have extensive knowledge of reading blueprints of manufactured and assembled components. I served my (4 year) Tool & Die Maker Apprenticeship program.
I advanced into the development lab as Sr. Development Technician where I instructed other technicians proper machining practices. Worked directly with the development engineers making proto-type parts. In the evenings I attended Midlands TEC to acquire a second degree in
Machine Tool Technology (Cad-Cam).
