Research Duties included designing sampling strategy; making biomass assessments; harvesting samples for
quantitative and qualitative analysis, coordinating and compiling all data; and submission of final report.
Supervisory Duties included supervising and training employees and volunteers; set and monitored work
schedule; assigned job descriptions to individuals and to teams; evaluated work performance with
recommendations for improvement; and interviewed Summer Youth Trainees for hire.
Marine Field Projects
Summer 1991
Research duties included water quality analysis for turbidity and salinity using a refractometer and YSI meter.
Turbidity was also measured using dissolved solids. Chemicals were measured using the GC/MS.Performed
Winkler Titrations for dissolved oxygen, a Fluorometer for chlorophyll, and used Secchi Disks to measure Secchi
depth.
