Project Experience

CSC India, Aug 2012 to till date

1. Project: CSX (Enterprise Content Management)

Role: Manager, Project

Location: Offshore

Duration: Aug 2012 to till date

CXS is a leading logistics company in USA based out of Florida. CSX is currently

maintaining their records & non-records in FileNet libraries. CSX has decided to

move from FileNet to Webcenter Content and leverage the Records Management

capabilities. There is roughly 12 million documents to be migrated from FileNet into

Webcenter Content. There are few image libraries in FileNet which will be migrated

to Webcenter Image.

Anand was involved in the design phase of the project closely working with the team

gathering the requirements. He was also involved in analyzing the requirements and

identifying any gaps. He was involved in providing the design for 16 applications

which hosted the entire volume of content in FileNet mapping the metadata, security,

taxonomy and folder structures where ever applicable.

2. Project: CTS ECM (Cognizant – Enterprise Content Management)

CTS currently maintain their employee records in paper format across geography.

The HR team wanted a solution to digitize all their Associates personal files and

maintain in a content management system. The other departments within CTS also

wanted a similar system to host their content as each of them had their own way of

storing content. It was getting unmanageable for the Enterprise Architect team from

hardware/License/Software perspective and they wanted an enterprise solution to

manage all department content including HR. Enterprise Architects team is the

sponsor of this initiative to build a Shared Services platform using the Webcenter

Content product suite on Exalogic hardware.

Anand was involved in this project from day 1 working with CTS team to ensure the

solution is designed to ensure Performance, Content replication across US and India

environments, Global Routing, Effective Search, Integration with applications,

PeopleSoft Integration, Access Manager Integration, Environment Setup including

Exalogic, Training CTS team and Sharing best practices.

Anand is currently involved in the pilot phase of the project for HR to digitize all the

personal files and get them on to the ECM Shared Services platform. Once this

phase is complete other departments will move.

3. Project: SIM (Singapore Institute of Management)

SIM(Singapore Institute of Management), as a part of applicant/student record

management system, maintains a document management system to store their

admission related documents and prepare various reports used for various statistics

related with admission and students. The existing document management system

has been developed using ‘Oracle Webcenter Content’ (formerly known as Oracle

Universal Content Management).

Anand was involved in implementing verification of documents f unctionality. SIM

wanted a functionality by which they could verify all supporting documents a student

submits during admission and course of his/her academics. Once all these

supporting documents have been verified the content holding status and information

of a particular student is marked verified (P-file). Once a supporting document is

verified a PDF watermark is applied with ‘Verified By’ and Verification Date’

information and released to the system.

Anand is currently involved in the migration activity to assist SIM in migrating their

existing documents from UCM 10g to Webcenter Content 11g and in the process

handle Verification.

4. Presales: Sonatrach, Health Services Demo, Tanzania Port Authority,

Maaden, I&M Bank

Anand worked with the Point Solutions team to come up with use cases and

estimates to cover Patient Portal, Physician Portal and a Discharge Portal. Anand got

involved in a 4 day workshop organized by point solutions and gathered all business

requirements to turn them into technical use cases. He also got involved in

interacting with other teams including Siebel and OPA to come up with the integration

mechanisms and estimates for the same.

Sonatrach is a name given for Algerian national Oil and G as Company. They wanted

to implement a system to manage their documents in numerous formats and difficulty

in accessing them. Anand worked on a proposal meeting Sonatrach’s requirements

in the document management area involving Webcenter Content, Webcenter

Records, Webcenter Capture, AutoVue and EBS adapter for Webcenter Content.

Tanzanian Port Authority wanted to implement an Electronic Single Window System

to integrate various applications and allow easy access to information for all

subsidiaries. Anand worked on the proposal meeting their requirements involving

Webcenter Content, and SOA.

Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) wanted to implement an ECM solution

using Webcenter Content, Webcenter Capture, Webcenter Distributed Capture,

AutoVue 3D Professional Advanced, AutoVue Document Print Service and AutoVue

VueLink Integration. Anand worked on the proposal involving these products and

estimated the integration, design and solution implementation estimates.

Anand has also worked on other small proposals and quick turnaround Scope,

Assumption & Estimate documents for various other customers.

5. Technical Ambassador: Oracle Sweden

Duration: Between Feb 2010 to Jun 2011

Oracle Sweden wanted a UCM consultant to help them work with their partner HiQ in

assisting them to deliver a Webcenter platform using UCM as the content

management hosting web contents. The end customer Volvo Cars wanted to

separate from Ford motors and have 4 of their portals to be migrated to a common

Webcenter platform. The project tenure was for about 3 months.

Anand started to work with another Oracle partner Tieto in assisting them to migrate

their customer's site www.skanova.se from Site Studio to Webcenter platform. The

project involved lots of challenges in terms of complexity and Webcenter 11g PS3

being new to the market. The migration involved re-uses of a lot of web assets and

re-writing their Region Templates and Sub Templates as Task flows. The Site Studio

navigation was replaced with Webcenter navigation model. The project also includes

integration to SES.

6. Project: Aircel Portal

Role: Solution Architect

Location: Onsite/Offshore

Duration: Between Dec 2009 to Jan 2010

The project aims to develop a web portal for Aircel which exposes all their contents

through one single interface to all users (intranet, extranet, internet). The portal is

based on Web 2.0 features and exposes Wiki, Chat, Blog, RSS feeds, Analytics etc.

The portal provides inline editing feature to Contributors of site.

Oracle Web Center Services is used to provide all the Collaborative features, inline

editing is achieved by WLP-WCM integration. All the contents are stored in Oracle

UCM and retrieved and displayed to users on portal using RIDC API to integrate java

application with UCM. Dynamic Conversion is also used. Anand is working on the

integration architecture and helping Wipro to deliver this project for Aircel.

7. Technical Ambassador: Oracle Sweden

Oracle Sweden wanted a UCM consultant who can help them with their UCM

proposals, development and also to work with their clients. Anand had taken up this

role and had travelled to Stockholm. Anand worked on performance issues faced by

SwedBank and helped them with recommendations. He also worked with the sales

teams in identifying product stack and architecture for Volvo cars. He also helped a

partner Logica in responding to an RFP for SAAB.

8. Presales: Goodnews

Role: Architect & Developer

Duration: Between Jan 2009 to Aug 2009

Goodnews is Oracle’s internal newsletter project, which sends out the EMEA

consulting newsletter. Anand was part of the architecture, design and implementation

phases of the project. Anand is involved in analysing architectural changes and

design changes needed for the technology newsletter site which will be a parallel site

on the current Goodnews infrastructure.

9. Presales: Infosys

Role: Enterprise 2.0 Consultant

Duration: Between Feb 2009 to Jun 2009

Anand carried out the scoping exercise interacting with their VP and couple of

business leads to understand their requirements. In the process Anand educated

Infosys of the ECM product stack and the features that it provides. Anand also

prepared estimation, provided timelines for the solution and a high level plan for the

project. Anand also provided a high-level design for the ECM integration with Infosys

internal applications.

Anand worked with the Alliances & Channels team to come up with a story line to

cover all ECM products for their Bootcamp program. Anand proposed the

architecture involving ODC, SES, UCM, URM and Webcenter on virtual machine.

The proposed solution includes an intranet and an extranet site hosted on Webcenter

to demonstrate the features of the above product stack.

Staatsolie, an oil company based out of Suriname wanted an Electronic Document

management System (EDMS). Anand provided estimation and also answering

customer’s questions on certain product features. The product stack includes UCM,

URM, ODC and OID.

Sydney Water delivers water services for the benefit of the community in Sydney.

Sydney Waters to implement an Enterprise Search Application. TRIM, a content

management application that is currently used in their enterprise had to be made a

search source for the Secure Enterprise Search solution. Anand did a small proof of

concept on creating custom connectors for SES and there by estimated the effort and

timelines for creating a custom connector for TRIM.

Tubes India wanted to set up a shared service center that will centralize certain

accounting and administrative functions to achieve control and cost advantages by

integrating IPM with ERP. Anand estimated the effort after analyzing the

requirements as well as discussed with the clients to educate and clarify product

behavior.

Secure Meter wanted to implement a shared service center and handle all sales,

marketing, HR, Procurement etc centrally. Anand was part of the presales team to

understand the requirements and also to provide clients with the feasibility, product

features and also answering customer’s questions.

platform (now called Oracle Content Management). Anand got involved in the last

phase of Business Design and then took part in the Technical Design. Anand lead

the customization track and was also providing oversight to the QA and Infrastructure

track. Anand also designed and implemented performance requirements using

Jmeter. Anand was also involved in setting up the support team and getting the team

Vista3.0 is a technically challenging project that integrates three different products.

Stellent was chosen to be the CMS for this project. Anand was involved in the

Business design and Technical design. Anand lead the track through the

implementation phase of the project. He was also involved in the infrastructure

requirements related to Stellent. Anand was also involved in the UAT phase to get

the system through acceptance phase. Some of the core responsibilities carried out

by Anand is:
