T i tle Web Mapping Of Asthma Hospitalization in

C hennai.

Synopsis : T his project deals with developing a web

application, showing how asthma patients increasing based on Air-

Pollution in Chennai. I made half kilometer buffer around major roads

and industries. I t is indicating the Air-pollution. I geo-coded the asthma

patient layer based on their address. I used slider-bar control, which is

connected to the asthma patient layer (Data: 2008-2011). The movement

of the slider-bar retrieves the data from asthma layer and placed on the

map sequence. I t shows progressively increment in the count of asthma

patient. A chart control has been inserted which shows the asthma

patients details graphically.

I t shows the number of patient falling inside or outside the buffer area.

B uffer shows the area of asthma patient affected by air pollution and the

a rea falls outside the buffer shows less affected by pollution. I t shows

clearly every year the asthma patients are increasing by air pollution

w ithin the range of half kilometer buffer. In this project I used arc server

assemblies and dot net assemblies for buffering and querying the layer

and slider control. User can query the hospital details with address and

phone number. In this project r ich internet design and Ajax controls has

been used.

To creating the web mapping application I used “Arc Server” software

integrated with visual studio “Dot net” framework 4.0.

In this project I used “Web ADF” to create the web mapping application.

I used “Dot net assemblies” and “Arc Server assemblies” in this project .

In this project I used “Dot net web server controls” and “Arc server controls”

•

and “Ajax controls” .

The main concept of the project is to identify the asthma patients who are all

mostly affected by the “Air Pollution”.
