50 million dollar manufacture of roof coatings and adhesives.

Purchasing Manager; Materials Manager; Vice President of Operations – 1989 – 2012

Designed a MRP system that resulted in a 38% reduction of raw material inventory with

15 turns per year.

Contracted a national account agreement with a major supplier of solvents (only one in the

industry) that gave us a 5% cost reduction and priority service during supply

interruptions.

Reorganized an inherited fragmented purchasing system into an efficient and cost effective

computerized purchasing department establishing the pertinent documentation and

Developed and wrote a corporate purchasing policy to set vendor guidelines, resulting in

and material handling problems.

Systematized the expediting for all purchase orders, resulting in a 40% increase in vendor

Converted the plant’s cleaning agent, in the vapor degreasing systems, from Freon to

trichlorethene, resulting in a $25,000 annual savings and a substantial reduction in coil

set up time (20 to 1), as well as scrap from coil drop off.
