Tasked for writing situational Executive Summaries (EXSUMs) that provide concise, stand alone information for the Senior Army Chain of Command. Maintain recurring deliverable products such as the External Common Operating Picture and the Internal Common Operating Pictures. Research and develop data for assigned taskers with timeline constraints. Products created, maintained and disseminated by the DOMS are provided to the most Senior Leaders in the Army.

Assists the Senior/Assistant Watch Analyst with a systematic analytical approach to collecting and interpreting data and information. Performs special studies or analyses to assess the magnitude of a disaster to include analysis of the initial impact and resources available for response. Plans and prepares reports or other working documents related to complex program issues. Coordinates the contributions of other watch analysts to the documents. Collect and organize situational awareness information, write reports and notifications as required. Monitor developing incidents and coordinate and exchange information with other operations centers. Provide situational awareness monitoring through collection and analysis of information from official and open sources. Monitor designated information nodes to detect and assess credible threats and incidents that occur.

Contracted to leverage knowledge of military strategy, operational planning, and joint doctrine to support the accomplishment of the Domestic Operation mission within the National Guard Bureau (NGB) J34. Administer operational concept development, staffing, equipment supply, training, and security as required by J34 initiatives. Conduct operational analysis and recommendations supporting initiatives, operations, and policy planning; ensure NGB readiness for the employment of military forces to execute HLD and CS operations. Collaborate in developing response plans for the 15 homeland security national planning scenarios supporting the National Guard Defense Support to Civil Authorities.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

Established telephonic, email and personal contact with all assigned Provost Marshal in the Army National Guard. In states that did not have Provost Marshal personnel assigned, a responsible point of contact for Military Police operations was determined.

Competed all requirements necessary for creating and conducting the first ever Provost Marshal working group (PMWG). The working group was attended by all assigned Provost Marshal personnel (15). Input from this meeting was utilized to establish a PM futures document which addressed personnel manning, funding, functions and specific mission objectives.

SENIOR CONSULTANT / JOINT OPERATIONS CENTER SPECIALIST / COMMON OPERATING PICTURE (COP) MANAGER

Operational and communications liaison for State and Federal Homeland Security Offices, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Army and Air National Guard Headquarters, National Guard Bureau JOC, and US NORTHCOM.
