construction.

● Project Manager for public building expansion project at the Redlands Bowl that moved
three story structure, constructed a full basement with public restrooms and relocated the
structure on the new basement, including hazardous material abatement and all
structural and seismic work on the existing structure with an new roof system and
rehabilitation of existing exterior siding to comply with State historic codes and
requirements. Building is listed on the State Register of Historic Places.
● Project Manager for public library expansion project that trisected the existing building
and added two new wings while keeping the library operational and open to the public.
Project included all new electrical, plumbing, fire sprinklers and HVAC systems and
hazardous material abatement for the existing structure. Library is listed on National and
State Registers of Historic Places.
● Project Manager for main downtown fire station rehabilitation project. Project included
complete seismic retrofit with structural improvements including all new electrical,
plumbing, fire sprinklers, roofing, communication and HVAC systems and hazardous
material abatement for the existing structure.
● Project Manager for downtown redevelopment projects which included street
reconstruction, brick inlaid intersections, brick sidewalks, all new underground utilities,
landscaping, railroad grade crossing upgrades, building demolitions and hazardous
material abatement.
● Project Manager for building project which included demolition of three structures
containing hazardous materials, abandonment of existing well and construction of 5,000
s.f. recreational building with solar technology.
● Project Manager for airport projects that realigned and extended taxiway, cleared
approach paths at runway ends, added approximately 15 acres of aircraft parking area,
re-paved and re-striped runway and taxiway, upgraded runway and taxiway lighting,
added airport security lighting and fencing, and reconstructed clear zone between runway
and taxiway. Airport and runway remained open and active during most of the work.
● Project Manager for numerous street reconstruction, traffic signal, storm drain, sewer
system, water system and athletic field lighting projects.
● Experienced with consultant engineering firms and governmental employers:
City of Redlands - Senior Civil Engineer responsible for working with consultant
engineers and architects, regulatory agencies and other governmental agencies on
capital improvement projects, review of final plans, specification preparation, and all
phases of construction engineering from notice inviting bids through release of
retention. Projects included streets, storm drains, sewers, potable and non-potable
water mains, other utility lines, street lighting, traffic signals, athletic field lighting,
recreational buildings, downtown redevelopment, new buildings, building additions,
seismic retrofits, upgrading or installing fire sprinkler systems, cemetery expansion,
airport expansion, wellhead water treatment facilities, solid waste landfill and gas
collection landfill monitoring wells, demolition of buildings, hazardous material
abatement and railroad grade crossing upgrades.
Metcalf & Eddy, Inc. - Staff Engineer responsible for design, specification, cost
estimate, construction bidding and inspection work on sewer pipelines, lift stations and
utilities; and Construction Manager on redevelopment project in downtown shopping
district which included all new underground utilities, streets, brick inlaid intersections,
brick sidewalks, landscaping and railroad grade crossing upgrade.
Berryman & Stephenson, Inc. - Design Engineer responsible for design of water
transmission and distribution piping including booster pump stations, reservoirs, wells
and pressure reducing stations; and Inspector on projects including water mains, sewer
mains, streets, curb and gutter, underground utilities, storm drains, wells, booster pump
stations, reservoirs and pressure reducing stations.
Los Angeles County Flood Control District - Engineer responsible for earthwork design,
quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for the repair and maintenance of spreading
grounds facilities; and Inspector on projects including debris dams, reinforced concrete
pipe and encasement, earthwork, and reinforced concrete structures.
