2004 – Present: Process Technician
General Responsibilities:
Assessment of the daily operating conditions and parameters in mud
circuit, liquor filtrate, external causticizer plant and Environmental
Management System to ensure conformance to control procedures and
that these procedures are pertinent effective, understood and followed by
team members.
Carry out adjustment to process control targets to maintain quality and
tonnage requirement.
Scrutinize operations for development of abnormal conditions or
bottlenecks and discuss with/or advise team members of corrective action.
Carry out routine checks on all instrumentations within the area of my
responsibility for good functionabily of same.
Carry out pump checks and analysis on all pumps within area of
responsibility to ensure proper pump performance.
Aid in reduction of vessel spillages and caustic soda loss from the mud
circuit by resolving poor process flow movement through the mud circuit
through improved pumping efficiency and filtration rate.
Aid in the implementation of filtration equipment cleaning project.
