distribution centers and administrative offices) on company policies involving employee relations,

compliance issues such as EEO, safety and health, and workers’ compensation.

Successfully turned a roll-up of five regional HR departments into one unified, efficient, and effective

department providing excellent customer service to 2,500 employees in approximately 194 store and 38

states.

Supervise and manage all facets of human resources management: recruitment, training, performance

Human Resources Manager

Liaison between management and employees by fielding complaints and policy interpretation for the

Southeast Region comprised of 800 employees.

Managed and supervised the daily functions of HR Staff to include payroll and benefit administration.

Conducted regional investigations on EEOC charges and other complaints of harassment or

discrimination or violation of FleetPride’s policies.

Educated managers and employees on HR policies, benefit plans and labor laws to ensure equity and

compliance throughout the region.

Advised managers on proper disciplinary and corrective actions and provided coaching and counseling to

empower them to handle tough employee relation issues.

Attended legal seminars and worked with company legal team to stay abreast of employment law

1999 – 2000

Human Resources Administrator

Due to the resignations of the V.P. of Human Resources for the Southeast and the HR Generalist; I became

the supervisor of the HR function for newly formed Southeast Region (inclusive of the old Mid-Atlantic

Region.) Change Agent during this year of transition: two group health insurance plan conversions, 401(k)

conversions, changes in corporate structure, and acquisitions.

Handled the coordination and follow up of the second major transition of the overall benefits program for

the newly formed company to include conversion of various 401(k) plans.

Successfully handled the conversion/integration of Once Source Truck Parts, Truck and Trailer, Certified

Power, and Wheels & Brakes.

Instrumental in the successful conversion of Truck & Trailer 401(k) plan into the Stone Heavy Duty

plan.

Managed all human resources aspects of the various acquisitions to include benefits, 401(k), design of

new employee handbook; coaching, training and counseling.

Personally handled meetings with employees that were impacted by reduction in force due to redundancy

in back offices.

Administered all group benefits to include orientations and problem claim resolution.

plan designs and eligibility.

facets of human resources.

Primary responsibility was to recruit and attract Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.

Sourced and screened candidates and developed recruitment strategies for the Goldsboro and Kinston

clinical offices.
