Senior Manager of Production Planning (2007-Present) / Production Planning Manager (2003-2007)

Full accountability for leading a major transformation of teams, processes, and operations to enhance the on-time and quality

delivery of more than 1.2 million monthly parts to Honda client. Direct the customization and implementation of core Plex-

Online ERP system to automate all aspects of plant operations. Lead the development and integration of tools with new

system to enhance reporting of core data. Create and train associates on Plex-Online modules. Interact with Production,

Purchasing, Manufacturing, Information Technology, New Model, and Sales teams to implement solutions that enable growth.

Challenges: Chosen and given dual responsibility to establish a Production Planning Department, and guide the rollout of

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Pivotal role in repositioning company from a low ranking supplier to the #1 supplier for on-time delivery

cross-functional system / process integration between design, production, and logistics / warehousing operations.

Planned and led the appropriate and on-time rollout of Plex-Online ERP system, comprised of Production

Requirements Planning (PRP), Capacity Planning, EDI / Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN), Material Requirements

Planning (MRP), Shipping and Receiving, Shop Floor Recording, Cycle Counting, and Bill of Material (BOM).

Established effective production schedules for Stamping, Weld 1, Weld 2, Assembly, and Painting

Departments, eliminating daily expedited shipments to customers. Set up Pull, Kanban and Push System to meet

each department’s needs across 99 work centers.

Instituted appropriate inventory control procedures, reducing WIP inventory to minimum, increasing finished

good inventory to 1 day, improving on-time delivery, and minimizing plantwide overtime. Automated product

labeling and cycle counting, reducing biannual physical inventory to annual.

Spearheaded the setup of MRP system in Plex-Online for the Purchasing Department, automating the

procurement of component parts, reducing excess inventory, and providing better visibility of suppliers.

Developed tools to capture and upload data from Plex-Online for creation of graphical charts.

AGC AUTOMOTIVE AMERICAS – Bellefontaine, OH 1986-2003

Fast-track promotions through a series of increasingly responsible positions for this Tier 1 automotive supplier of glass products.

Production Scheduler / Senior Staff (1995-2003)

Drove the major automation and optimization of scheduling and inventory management functions across complex, fast-paced

production environments to reduce costs, maximize customer satisfaction, enhance on-time delivery, and minimize inventory

investments. Analyzed and evaluated work orders, equipment capacity, raw material availability, and resources to determine

appropriate production strategies. Planned, forecasted, and ordered raw materials from glass suppliers. Collaborated with

suppliers to confirm delivery and resolve issues.

Challenges: Advanced and chosen to new position to establish, manage, review, and enhance master schedules across 3

production lines within the Lamination Department and subsequently 14 production lines for the Tempering Department.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Conducted and reconciled monthly inventories of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods

across the plant and at Tier 2 value-added suppliers. Defined and implemented cross-training program to

effectively meet changes in product and business demands.

Created a MS Excel-based tool to automatically create master production plans, outlining weekly,

monthly, and yearly production schedules for the Lamination and Tempering Departments.

Pivotal role in facilitating the rollout of MAPICS system throughout the plant. Implementation Leader

for the deployment and integration of Future 3 EDI and Bar Code Solutions software with MAPICS to

enhance the processing of customer orders and printing of labels for products.

Collaborated with development team to upload inventory data from MS Excel to MAPICS to enhance

month-end inventory. Developed MS Access tools to access data within MAPICS for custom reporting.

Developed Demand Planning system for service parts. The data was used to forecast customer demands for

long term planning.

Production Staff (1994-1995)

Chosen to fill a newly established position to roll out preventive maintenance procedures across lamination and expansion

lines in response to rapid growth. Planned and coordinated efforts of maintenance personnel in analyzing, troubleshooting,

and upgrading equipment and software across complex automated environments to minimize downtime. Based upon success,

given additional responsibility to resolve delivery and quality issues with vinyl raw materials obtained from suppliers.

Introduced automation to enhance the purchase, tracking, and resolution of issues with raw materials.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENT:

Designed and implemented the Vinyl Ordering System to track the purchase and quality of received

products, which increased on-time delivery by 2-fold while enhancing quality and reducing inventory.

Production Team Leader (1987-1994) / Production Associate (1986-1987)

Recruited as Production Associate and advanced to Production Team Leader, within one year, to oversee team of 20 in

manufacturing custom laminated glass in adherence to customers’ specifications. Tracked and monitored all aspects of

operations across multiple lamination pre-process and after-process production lines supporting Toyota and Isuzu customers.

Analyzed and resolved all quality, scheduling, delivery, and performance issues.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENT:

Chosen for the startup and management of a new line for Toyota. Partnered with client to define requirements for

the production of new sunroof glass product. Developed and delivered training to Production Associates.
