Line handler modules receive transaction requests from POS or ATM devices, and send

them in the proper format for the processing.
Formatter receive the transactions, validate, edit them and format into interprocess

buffer for further processing.
Authorizers send the transaction requests to Visa, MasterCard etc for authorization and

receives the responses which were also put into Interprocess buffer for further
processing.
Loggers write the transactions into the transaction log which later is the base for the

settlement processes.
Responders create and send the appropriate responses to the POS or ATM devices.

Settlement modules create and handle the settlement files that are later sent to
•
different settlement institutions.
The development team was responsible for implementing modification to the software
