earned in the public accounting arena as an auditor and also in the private sector with a multi-state general

contractor in the position of Controller. I am a hard working team-player who enjoys adding value to the

FL. I am charged with the responsibility of handling all fiscal, regulatory, and personnel matters for the

company. My responsibilities include preparing the annual budget of approximately $10 million, and

reporting budget to actual results as needed. My current duties also include preparing accurate monthly

financial statement packages for Regions Contractors, three affiliated entities, and the three owners

individually. Due to the limited number of office staff, I also serve as the project accountant for each

project which includes; analyzing project to date cost reports, ensuring subcontractor’s insurance is in

compliance with our policy, reviewing monthly subcontractor draws and lien waivers, ensuring

compliance with federal certified payroll requirements, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during

the project.

My experience in the public accounting sector exposed me to a variety of industries including not-for-

profit and governmental entities. However, my primary area was in the property and casualty insurance

industry handling complex statutory accounting matters. I served as an auditor as well as a consultant to

troubled and start-up insurance companies, and worked directly with the client and the Florida Office of

Insurance Regulation while providing consultation services. Public accounting provided me with a great

work ethic as well as a certain adaptability that makes me an asset to most employers.

I am proficient in most computer software programs including Microsoft Office products, computerized

accounting software packages (Quickbooks/Timberline), and various databases and management software

packages.
