Estimator

As Vice president my duties included helping with the day to day

operations of the company, running the weekly progress meeting

when the President of the company was not available. Helping set the

yearly budget goals of the different divisions of the

company. Assisting in the application process and interviewing

individuals for possible employment. Assisting in the end of the

year employee evaluations to help the company grow.

Service manager: As service manager it was my responsibility to hit the

yearly budget set forth for the service department, schedule all

manpower for the service division including inspection and

testing. Maintain customer satisfaction and customer communication.

Price up all inspection deficiencies and repairs needed to keep

the customers fire protections systems up to code and operational.

Project Manager: Responsibilities included, reviewing contract details

and job estimate. Attend all project meetings at the job site location.

Manpower scheduling for projects I over saw. Price change orders and

communicate all changes to the design department for recalculations.

Estimator: As estimator my job activities were to find job leads in both

new construction and retrofit. I would lay out each job and do a material

pick off to price up the cost of material and estimate the job labor

by laying out a job labor sheet. After job contracts were rewarded, I

would have a job handoff meeting with the design department to go

over the scope of work and contract details.

Fire Inspections & Sales (fire alarm, sprinkler and extinguisher)

and Purchasing

Fire Extinguisher sales: As fire extinguisher sales my duties were to

price up new construction sales of extinguishers and also to sales fire

extinguisher inspection sales. In order to sale extinguishers you need to

follow NFPA rules and standards. Along with other building

codes.

Fire sprinkler inspector: My duties of this job included sales of fire

sprinkler inspections, assisting the department in fire sprinkler

inspections, fire pump testing, dry pipe full trip test and deluge system

testing. Vast knowledge of the NFPA 25 codes and regulations. My

position also included the assistance of the fire alarm division when they

needed assistance with fire alarm inspections. My duties were

also to inspect and maintain our clients fire extinguishers as well.

Purchasing Agent: As purchasing agent it was my responsibility to pick

off, stock list and order material for all jobs that were not prefabricated.

I was in charge of all purchase orders and company prices

through our distributors and suppliers, so we would receive the best

cost effective prices per job.

As a field employee I started out as a helper in the summers of my high

school years, I did the basic helper activities as in running the

power machine, running materials and laying out piping in the

designated areas it was to be installed in. I learned how to read blue prints

and lay out jobs and the function of the tools of the trade. During my

breaks for holidays from school I would assist the companies

inspector in the inspection process, I learned the operation of

different types of systems and how to inspect and work on all systems.

Upon returning to the company full time in January of 1999 I worked in

the field as a helper and eventually to a foreman, service technician and

inspector.
