Structures Engineer - Associate Technical Fellow
IPT lead for the 777 fuselage section 41 structure
design.
Led proof of concept team that developed a
self-tooled concept of fuselage assembly on the 737
NG. I trainied over two hundred engineers in the new
process. The assembly method was patented and became
the standard across Boeing Commercial. It is the
current basis of Spirit Exact .
Formed a Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) team of
structural engineers We learned the ICAD
programming language and established a virtual team
environment with the Everett KBE group. The
Knowledge Based applications we developed were used
on all models within Boeing Commercial.
1998-2004 Structures Management
I managed teams developing:
The fuselage section 42 and Integration IPT's on
the 737-702C Navy transport.
767 Design for Manufacturing (DFM) improvements
using engineers in Wichita and Moscow.
The tools and processes for the first Boeing use of
Catia V5
The preliminary structures design of the Sect 41 787
Evaluated on-site capabilities of :
SAIC in Shanghai and The Boeing Design center in
Moscow

I managed the Systems and Payloads Design, Analysis
and Product Support team for the 787 Cabin Sect 41.
This team included 4 first level managers and in
excess of 200 design, test and manufacturing
engineers. The team allocated tier 1 requirements,
developed Systems & Payloads Installation designs
and systems test procedures. We again used global
engineering resources in an integrated team.
