WORK EXPERIENCE

2011 - Present BW Offshore Singapore Ltd.

Offshore Installation Manager

Working on the First FPSO with Drilling facility - the FDPSO Azurite

offshore the Republic of Congo, West Africa. Producing crude oil and gas.

Utilisation of the 'Maximo' maintenance program. Simultaneous operations

with Drilling.

2008 - 2011. EMAS Offshore Construction and Production Ltd. Singapore.

Offshore Installation Manager.

Working on the latest project of an FPSO for offshore Vietnam, conversion

in Singapore at Keppel shipyard. Turret connection system and Process

designed for waxy crude with steam heating in all boots and cargo tanks.

Power generation by steam turbines (5 units) Oil export and water injection

utilising steam turbines. Interview, selection and training of local

Vietnamese crew.

OIM on an FPSO project for Thailand- at the NAD field in the Gulf of

Thailand on contract to the PTTEP of Thailand. Conversion in Singapore

/Final hook up and commissioning and start of production operations.

Developing all documentation for commissioning and operations. Including

Safety and Class requirements. The FPSO is self propelled and moored using

a TCMS system.

FPSO Process designed for Gas/ condensate processing and export 150MMscfd

Gas and condensate stabilisation for 5000bpd. Off-take by shuttle tanker

utilising floating hose assembly when required.

Power generation and gas compressors utilise Gas engines.

Treatment of the produced water to remove Mercury and Arsenic contaminants

to within correct specification and OIW levels. Trouble shooting project as

Treatment process unstable when ship rolls/pitches.

1991-2007 MOSSGAS COMPANY (Now PETROSA)

Acting Offshore Installation Manager/Production Superintendent/

Location - Mossel Bay, South Africa

I joined the company during the start-up and commissioning of the Offshore

Platform, and was involved in all aspects of production control of platform

process and utilities. Also involved in the commissioning and production of

subsea satellite wells, installation of solar gas turbine driven / gas

compressors, remote control buoy for additional satellite well systems and

the issue and control of all permits for PTW work system also use of the

SAP/R3 maintenance program.

Development of Operating and Training procedures for 3 different phases of

subsea extensions and completions. Umbilical control and remote controlled

buoy on 1 project. Wellheads, pipelines with anti hydrate control systems.

Extensive on job training experience.

Compilation and revision of Training Material for alignment of all material

to the South African Qualifications Authority and Chemical sector SETA,

CHIETA, guidelines for accreditation purposes on the National

Qualifications Framework.

Completed training courses and compiled a portfolio and gained competency

for the City & Guilds Assessor award for the D32/33 City & Guilds of London

Institute.

1988-1991 ESKOM NUCLEAR POWER STATION

Principal Plant Instructor

Location South Africa

Training and evaluating of all new plant operations staff after induction.

Compiled and maintained the Operating, Start Up and Shutdown Procedures.

Operation of Steam turbine driven generator sets and all ancillary

equipment.

2 units on site - Each unit consisted of 1 x HP Steam turbine, 3 LP Steam

turbines and Generator of 964 MW capacity.

Nuclear heat source provided 2775 MW thermal, primary heat transfer circuit

to Steam generators on secondary circuit to supply steam for turbines, to

prevent cross contamination.

Ancillary equipment included Diesel Generators and Oil fired Boiler units,

a water treatment section and hydrogen Gas production unit for generator

cooling.

1986-1988 WEST RAND CONSOLIDATED MINES LTD. SOUTH AFRICA.

Maintenance Supervisor

Initially I worked underground and then moved to the reduction plant. as

foreman in control of maintenance and responsible for training, budget and

workforce of all disciplines. Further duties involved the production of

Maintenance, Operating and Training documentation for all aspects of the

plant.

Manufacture of experimental test beds for scientific experiments and

production of nuclear fuel pellets. Manufacture of microwave brazing

equipment for Steam Generator tube repairs. Producing documentation for

operation of same.

HARTLEPOOL AGCR Power Station. Remote video inspection of Nuclear Reactor

internals and Steam Generators, repair of Video & Still cameras and

specialised handling equipment. Compiling Inspection and defect reports.

1978-1980 STREETERS/AL FAYAD - CONTRACTORS PLANT -

Mechanical Technician

Location - Jeddah - Saudi Arabia

Maintenance of Excavators, bulldozers, generator sets and ancillary

equipment.

6 months in Qatar working on contractors plant.

1974-1978 BRITISH AEROSPACE

Aircraft Technician

Assembly and test of New Jaguar jet aircraft, hydraulic and fuel systems.

Refurbishment of older aircraft structures. Participated in the production

of Aircraft Refurbishing Documentation.
