and now work part-time in

whatever capacity needed, as cashier, unloading and putting

away freight, doing

planograms, setting up sale specials, etc.

03/11-09/11 Manager/Waitress/Bartender, Pot Buoy Pub, Boothbay

Harbor.

New Restaurant located in Boothbay Harbor,

where I am the Manager, overseeing

the small staff on a daily basis,

responsible for inventory, bookkeeping, and all

aspects of keeping the restaurant running on

a daily basis. Also a certified bartender,

and certified by the State of Maine in

restaurant operation.

12/07-12/10 Bookkeeper/Office Manager, Sherman's Books &

Stationary Stores

Bookkeeper for 5 busy stores throughout

Maine. All computerized, using Paperport, PC

Anywhere, and Peachtree Accounting. I was

responsible for all accounts payable, accounts

Receivable, cash ups, deposits, balancing

bank statements, all aspects of bookkeeping.

Also responsible for answering phones and

covering cash registers when needed.

08/08-10/10 Fisherman's Wharf, Boothbay Harbor

Hostess/cashier for dinner four nights per

week until the end of season. Duties include checking

all servers stations to make sure all work is

done before and after each shift. Cashing

out all servers, taking care of money and

closing up, along with seating all guests and

waiting on to go orders.

9/05-12/07 Secretary, Wiscasset Middle School

Started in September, 2005 at the Wiscasset

Middle School as secretary. Duties involve all

aspects of operating a school office, including answering phones,

mail, dealing with parents and children, attendance, intercom

system, time cards, report cards, check books, sports admissions,

etc. Work the school year only, with summers off.

7/05-11/06 Night manager at Pier One Pizza, Wiscasset, Maine.

Duties include overseeing all shift

employees, cooking all food, clean up duties, cash-ups and

closing.

2005-2006 Office Manager/Bookkeeper, Floor Magic, Inc.

I was hired in the summer of 2004, to be the

office manager/bookkeeper for Floor Magic in

Damariscotta, Maine. My duties were all of

the payroll, taxes, customer monies, scheduling of

flooring installers, typing customer

proposals, answering phones, etc. I also helped on the sales

floor when needed. I also worked evenings at

Paine's Clothing in Boothbay Harbor, doing the

bookkeeping and helping on the sales floor.

1998-2004 Owner/Operator Convenience Store, in Northwestern Maine

My domestic partner and I opened a convenience store in 1998.

We started from scratch,

in a building which had housed a store previously, which had

had three different owners,

and never lasted long. I operated it 80% by myself, with him

helping on weekends.

We built up a good clientele, and sold the store on April 2,

2004. I did all ordering, all day to day

operations, dealing with public, preparing food, as well as

all bookkeeping, banking, taxes,

payroll, payroll reports, etc.

1992-1998 Bookkeeper, Kitchen Manager, Boothbay Region Lobstermen's

Cooperative, Inc.

Bookkeeper, Kitchen Manager. I was hired as Bookkeeper in the

summer of 1992, in the

middle of the busy season, to take over bookkeeping duties.

Had two weeks training, and

was on my own. Duties included all aspects of bookkeeping,

office management, dealing

with people, and handling more than one task at a time. In

June of 1993, took over the

Kitchen Manager positions as well. Those duties included

hiring and firing, scheduling

of all help, all stock ordering, state laws and all licensing,

all cash ups, scheduling of parties

and buses. Also responsible for assistant bookkeeper for two

seasons. Dealt with all attorneys

and did all banking. Reported daily to the President of the

Corporation. Had just talked them

into going computerized and set that up, and was solely

responsible for it. Also was trained

for HACAAP, for restaurants and seafood in

1995.

1980-1992 Office Manager, Planning Services of Maine

Started as a secretary for a small insurance company in

Boothbay. Company expanded and

moved to Damariscotta. Responsible for all secretarial duties

for 9 in-house agents, and several

outside agents. As the company grew, I became office manager,

responsible for 4 secretaries.

traveled to the Home Offices of our major insurance companies

to learn each companies

procedures. Company grew to include 5 or 6 outside offices in-

state. Responsible

for ordering supplies for all agencies, secretarial work for

all paperwork going to home

offices, training help in outside offices, setting up meetings,

banquets, etc., for up to 75

people, arranging trips for agents, both in and out of the

country. Did all computer work on two

computers, on-line direct to home offices. Responsible for all

legal work of in-house lawyer.

Responsible for all insurance applications (life and health)

before they were sent to proper

companies, responsible for setting up doctors appointments for

clients. Also, expanded

insurance business to include home and auto insurance.

1979-1980 Bookkeeper, First National Supermarket

Hired directly out of high school. Responsible for all cash-

ups, scheduling cashiers breaks,

lunches, etc., handling all monies on my shift, and deposits.

Responsible for end of week

cash-outs, reporting directly to the bookkeeping office in Connecticut

every Saturday night

after close. Had to reconcile everything to the penny each week,

including cash-ups, deposits, coupons, etc. Also helped manager

with each weeks orders.

1975-1979 Front Desk Clerk, Boothbay Region YMCA

While I was in high school, I worked at the YMCA on the front

desk whenever my schedule

allowed. I was responsible for waiting on customers, checking

memberships, typing, filing and

general office work.

1980-1995 Held several second jobs, as well. Worked at Meadow Market for

one year, evenings, worked

at Reny's in Damariscotta for the Christmas season for three

years, filled in at Boothbay Railway

Museum when needed in the Falls. Also, worked

at Dave's AG for one year in the evenings. I

also worked part time at Dave's AG the past

two winters.

1975-1979 Business, Boothbay Region High School. Awards in Typing and

Shorthand. On Student

Council 4 years. Participated in sports 4 years.

1979-1981 Accounting, Beal College. Accounting and secretarial courses

for two years.
