June 15, 2010

Whom It May Concern:

I am very interested in your opening position. I strongly feel that this current position and my

experience and background may be a good match. My resume is attached for your review.

During my time in college I feel that this institution prepared me for this position. They worked

diligently to provide me with the necessary skills and tools to use in the helping profession. I

was able to work with outside community and education agencies to improve my knowledge.

With four years of college and over five years playing collegiate football I can honestly say I am

totally prepared for a position like this. The volunteer work, internships and football participation

taught me and prepared me for this challenging and rewarding experience. I can say that when

with your organization this summer I definitely increase my empathy to work with children,

adolescents and their families. I want to further my experience and work in a setting where I can

learn and become a more experienced and knowledgeable resource for community agencies.

If you are seeking a fresh and motivated employee who is eager to continue on this path, who

stays abreast of his field, who understands the special patience and care it takes to work with this

program, who consistently earns 100 percent staff support, who is career committed and

genuinely wants to see a difference being made then please consider what I have to offer. I

would be happy to have a preliminary discussion with you or members of your committee to see

if we can establish a mutual interest.

Sincerely,

Travoris Carter
