Cleveland Area Hospital – Handpicked by CEO to direct conversion of a 48-year-old, paper-based
recordkeeping system to a best-in-class electronic health records system (CPSI EHR - Financials, Ancillary,
Ambulatory ED, CPOE, and POC modules). Negotiated and managed the project’s $2M scope, schedule,
budget, and vendor deliverables. Identified internal system infrastructure, hardware, and resource
requirements. Supervised and coordinated the efforts of a team of 50 client staff spanning all leadership
levels/functional disciplines.
Completed initial phase of implementation (GL, AP, AR, Billing) within 90 days and full rollout
in eight months, leading seamless integration of over hundreds of thousands of patient records.
Netted $2M in incentive payments nearly 25% more than expected by ensuring delivery of
project within scope, schedule, and cost, and conformance with Stage 1 Meaningful Use criteria.
Influenced key modifications to the project scope, including addition of an OR Management
module and several outsourced service offerings (e.g., encrypted email, private-pay collections,
ASP-hosted system for disaster recovery redundancy). Negotiated contract changes that lowered
monthly payment obligations and identified higher allowable reimbursements for system costs.
Led project to capture the interest/attention of the American Medical Informatics Association,
which will feature it as part of a panel discussion, a published case study, and film documentary
at its 2012 Annual Symposium.
Miami Children’s Hospital – Oversaw deployment of a state-of-the-art electronic medical records system,
one of the first launched in the healthcare vertical, to capture 100% of ED and outpatient patient care data
across the multi-facility pediatric healthcare system. Spearheaded all facets of the client relationship and $1.2M
project from initial proposal and sale to project design, rollout, and post-implementation service and support.
Designed, developed, and implemented a rule-based workflow approval process for medical
records processing within the Health Information Management (HIM) department.
Built the system framework, procedures, and processes to digitize an average of 10,000
document pages daily, achieving full rollout (including processing of three years of backlogged
records) within the first 18 months.
Devised a document management interface with the hospital-based AS/400 HIS system,
facilitating physician/staff access to electronic patient records from the hospital’s existing legacy
system, an application interface already familiar to users and requiring no training/learning curve.
Collaborated with business/technical staff on design/integration of a Computerized Output to
Laser Disk (COLD) for automatic processing of patient laboratory results by a third party (Cerner).
Positioned client as an industry-leading pioneer in the EMR space; led MCH to earn a
prestigious national award for technology achievements from the Association for Information and
Image Management (AIIM), as well as being featured on the The Discovery Channel.
Peachtree Financial Solutions – Engaged by the CFO on a $1M project driving rollout of an ASP-hosted
ECM document storage and retrieval system solution, constructing the framework to digitize and archive all
of its client contract documents (both back-file and day-forward), with both projects running concurrently.
Defined the digital classification naming convention for eight line-of-business categories,
configured system software, and trained Peachtree personnel on the application’s usage.
Completed the initial digital conversion of 1.2 million documents within six months, overseeing
all facets of tracking, scanning, indexing, quality control review, and archival.
Established and directed service bureau operations for both a back-file conversion (1.2 million
documents) and day-forward (average 25,000 document pages/month) document processing over
the course of the five-year relationship.
Ocwen Financial Corporation – Sold and managed a $750K project for the capture, cataloging, and
conversion of 2 million pages of mortgage loan documents.

Directed the installation/testing of document capture processing software/hardware, along with
design of a customized system interface to the existing third-party document management
system, providing even greater functionality and ease-of-use than had existed in prior application.
Guided team of 30 staff in achieving stringent timeline for project completion (60 calendar
days). Established a service bureau and framework for round-the-clock document processing;
expedited identification/on-boarding of additional personnel to fulfill coverage requirements.
Trained system administrators on the nuances of maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing
the system; also delivered instruction on application usage/functionality to end-users.
Routinely called upon to supplement the client’s internal capabilities and turn around
processing of time-sensitive documents under accelerated deadlines. Completed numerous
outsourcing projects in the wake of large loan acquisition purchases from other lenders, digitizing
semi-truck loads of documents with virtually zero advance notice/lead time.
Kemper National Services – Designed and implemented the system and workflow processes to handle
document capture processing for an average volume of 50,000 pages of workers compensation claims daily.
Created a proprietary, scalable, production-level document capture processing system capable
of handling completed daily volumes in excess of 100,000 pages.
Northrop Grumman Corporation – Spearheaded the $600K development and launch of an ISO-compliant,
rule-based engineering change management workflow approval process for manufacturing operations.
Managed conversion from a third-party document management system to the ECM system,
which was deployed across multiple departments (sales, manufacturing, product quality control).
Developed a system prototype application for the processing and tracking of sensitive weapons
and parts shipments to authorized international trading partners.
Florida Career College – Converted the institution’s longstanding manual registration system into a web-
based application utilizing electronic forms, e-signatures, and rule-based workflow approval processing.
Applied these same technologies in design of similar systems for purchasing office operations and processing
of student transcripts and related records.
Retained following successful project launch to provide business process consulting and
strategic technology advisory services.
Directed allocation and performance of IT resources (staff/equipment) for build-out of new
campus facilities.
Managed product selection, procurement, conversion, and implementation of an enterprise
telecommunications project for Corporate HQ and eight campus locations throughout Florida.
Oversaw the version upgrade implementation for the client’s IT help desk application.
Intermountain Power – Led the development and implementation of a COLD application for the
automated indexing and archival of all digitally generated mainframe purchase order (PO) documents into
the client’s existing document management system.
Eliminated the need to manually scan, index, and perform QC review on PO documents, allowed
for near real-time PO archival, and provided plant managers and other authorized users with
ready access to procurement documents, strengthening decision-making and materials planning.
EARLY EXPERIENCE: Developed an invaluable foundation of business, financial, and project management
experience during early career with Filescapes, NuMed Medical, Pembroke Pines General Hospital,
University Hospital, Norton Children’s Hospital, and KAEC.
