Site Acquisition Management
I was working a project with AT&T thru TEK Systems in the Minneapolis
market. The primary initial focus was the Republican National Convention.
Key duties and objectives were as follows:
1. Meeting with and setting expectations with SAS vendors
2. Distributing first assignments (rings) based on capabilities and
personnel available
3. Establishing weekly deployment meeting times/methods for all vendors
4. Establishing weekly site walk days and times with each vendor
5. Working with RF Engineers to monitor results and determine site
selection for each search ring
6. Working with construction to determine feasibility and necessary methods
to achieve desired results. This has to be orchestrated between Site Acq.,
RF and Construction
7. Moving ahead with SAS vendors toward necessary permitting, zoning and
leasing expectations and desired outcomes
8. When all of the above has been completed and necessary environmentals
have been met and completed, pass off to construction for build-out.
The primary focus was making certain all of these items were completed
methodically and in conjunction with the timetables/benchmarks.
