Senior Project Manager, May 2005 - January 2014

• Managed and provided leadership and consultant services for the Lusail Multipurpose Sports Hall construction; facility included a stadium with a capacity for 15,800 spectators and project net value of $500 Million

• Led successfully all the design project management of the New Doha International (Al Khor) Stadium with capacity for 70,000 Spectators and project net value of $1000 Million as well as the expansion of Khalifa International Stadium with a capacity for 48,000 Spectators and project net value of $300 Million

• Partnered with leading engineering companies within the region and the US for major Infrastructure and building development and expansion including – St. Regis Hotel and Resorts (project net value $600 Million), Intercontinental Hotel (project net value $100 Million), Hamad Medical Corporation Simulation Center (project net value $60 Million) and Barwa Al Khor housing facilities (project net value $500 Million)

• Managed onsite team of 2 project managers and 30 engineers and offsite (design office ) team of 3 design managers and several design engineers; responsibilities included acting as the Focal Point for the design communication between the Client/End user, site team and design team, follow up to ensure immediate action for resolving any design ambiguity or discrepancy, ensure implementation of all Client/End user’s additional requirements

• Arranged and attended progress and technical periodical meetings during the course of the contract; ensured timely delivery of the design stages as per the Contract Agreement.

• Monitored the allocated design budget as well as the Project Construction Budget; Prepared Weekly and Monthly progress reports to executive leadership team as well as leading customers executive team

• Prepared and submitted to the Client, Design Variation Orders (VOs) for additional/Abortive Works; Negotiated and agreed with the Client on the final cost of approved VOs

• Highlighted potential delays, unforeseen additional costs and other critical matters

• Followed up the design and submitted different design packages to the services authorities for review/approval to ensure acquiring the building permit prior to launching the Project for Tendering
