. $700 million in sales. Producing carbon canisters, air induction

systems, manifolds, integrated air fuel management modules, hoses.

Processes include injection molding, lost core molding, welding,

assembly, leak test, functional test and blow molding. Customer base

includes Chrysler, GM, Ford, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, BMW, Mercedes and

VW. Managing, coaching and mentoring 12 direct employees and 6

indirect employees in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Accomplishments:

. 50% reduction in supply chain defects and complaints in 09 ($500,000)

. 30% reduction in cost of poor quality via lean six sigma and shainen

($1.7M)

. Reduction of parts per million external defects at the customer from

100 to 25.

. 20% reduction of internal parts per million defects ($0.9M)

. Completion of lean project on AR business process. Eliminated $2M

overdue AR's.

. Completion of lean project on Sales Group Business Processes to

streamline sales processes across Nafta Operations

Employed with Siemens VDO from 2004 to 2007, my division of Siemens was

purchased in 2007 by Mahle Filter Systems. I was promoted and moved to the

Murfreesboro facility to resolve quality issues at the Murfreesboro

facility. I was also given responsibility for North America quality

systems, strategic quality planning and quality performance for 6

manufacturing and development center locations. Responsibilities included

day to day management of the quality system and quality team in

Murfreesboro including retention of ISO/TS16949, process control, problem

resolution, continuous improvement via six sigma and shainen, supply chain

improvement, customer management, product launch, PPAP, APQP, MSA, Control

Plans, FMEA's, quality lab facilities, total quality management roadmap,

training and education. Strategic responsibility for the six North American

locations included strategic quality plan integrated into the business plan

via a balanced scorecard approach, six sigma / shainen standardized

approach, maintain and improve business processes across Nafta operations,

APQP, lessons learned / read across strategy, collaborative approach to

business process improvement, implementation of best in class supply chain

management program, standard zero tolerance for defects strategy, customer

service strategy, common approach to problem solving / root cause.

Divisional Quality Manager NAFTA / UK - Quality Manager (2 Sites) (Sep 04

to Sep 07)

. $400 million in sales. Producing air induction systems, manifolds,

integrated air fuel management modules. Processes include injection

molding, lost core molding, welding, assembly, leak test, and

functional test. Customer base includes Chrysler, GM, and Ford.

Managing, coaching and mentoring 13 direct employees and 2 indirect

employees in Canada, the US, and Mexico.

Accomplishments:

. 150+ directly and indirectly managed continuous improvement projects.

. Establish cost of poor quality system. Reduced 1.2% to 1% ($5.9M to

$4.5M)

. Reduction of parts per million external defects at the customer from

33 to 10.

. Establish warranty management system resulting in reduction of claims

from 1,629 to 767 (53%) in one year. (approximate cost avoidance

$86K/year)

Day to day Quality Management responsibility for the Tilbury and Windsor

locations. Strategic responsibility for locations in Canada, Mexico and

England. Responsibilities included day to day management of the quality

system and quality team in Tilbury and Windsor including retention of

ISO/TS16949, organizational assessment according to CMMi standard, process

control, continuous improvement, supply chain performance, customer

management, product launch, PPAP, APQP, lab facilities, gauge control

system and MSA, collaborative approach to business process improvement,

total quality management roadmap, training and education. Strategic

responsibility for the Mexico and England locations included strategic

quality plan integrated into the business plan, six sigma / shainen

standardized approach (Project of the Week / Project of the Month),

maintain and improve business processes across Nafta operations, APQP,

lessons learned / read across strategy, implementation of best in class

supply chain management program, standardized zero tolerance for defects

strategy, customer service strategy, field warranty management process,

common approach to problem solving.

Canada, and Mexico.

Accomplishments:

. Supported implementation of Toyota Production System in Mexico

operations.

. Redevelop QMS system and achieve certification from QS9000 to TS16949.

. Facilitate a complete organizational and business process restructure

moving from a functional organization to a matrix organization to

achieve reduced time to market on new product development,

. Successfully managed launch of strategically critical new product for

seat ventilation in North America

. Developed and implemented a Total Quality Management (TQM) Roadmap

with the goal of achieving the Canada Awards for Excellence award.

Director of Project Management - Responsibilities included integration of

the new project management process into the organization, on time launches

meeting ROI expectations, tracking and reporting performance and status of

North American new product and launch projects, project manager for

successful launch of new product introduction.

Director of Quality - Responsibilities included development and

implementation of Nafta quality strategy, maintenance of the QMS within

Nafta, introduction of new quality systems, integration of global quality

requirements into Nafta, training the organization in quality techniques,

Processes included pattern cutting, lamination, assembly of electrical

components and wiring, soldering, functional testing. Day to day quality

systems responsibility for the Windsor location and strategic quality

responsibility for Mexico and Windsor. Responsibilities included management

of the quality system moving from QS9000 to ISO/TS16949 system, development

and implementation of total quality management roadmap, PPAP, APQP, gauge

control system and MSA, management of the continuous improvement project

process for Nafta, development and implementation of a cost of quality

process, customer service management strategy, establishing strategic
