Summary of Experience

I, Jose M. Morales Rosario am a civil engineer with 6 years of experience in the

construction industry, all with Dragados USA. I have worked and partaken in the

construction, management, and execution of the CM009 and CM019 ESA projects in

the 6 years employed on Northern Blvd, Long Island City site. I have worked well with

contractors, owners and their representatives, and have always been very focused on

achieving every goal set by myself and my superiors. I have a great ability to order

materials, schedule work, communicate effectively, and resolve problems in a creative

and efficient manner. I have a great ability to plan and coordinate and manage

operations on the field as well.

Field Engineer:

My daily responsibilities included surveying of tunnel operations and documentation of

daily activities. I coordinated with senior engineers and union super-intendants on job

objectives and planned implementation of daily tasks. I worked alongside teamsters,

carpenters, Locals 147, 14, 15, and 731 to assist in achieving daily objectives; providing

tools, errands, and guidance whenever necessary from my senior engineers down to

our labor workforce.

Pay Role Manager/Environmental Coordinator (Jan 2010)

My daily responsibilities included processing checks and book keeping of union

employee’s hourly compensation. This included handling and adjusting of layoff, bonus,

and errant checks. Part of my pay role duties included signing up new employees and

rectifying any of their complaints which were merited. As my knowledge in the tunneling

industry grew, so did my responsibilities. I was given the title of Environmental

Coordinator to the MTA. Along with my pay role duties I was in charge of maintaining a

clean and environmentally sound atmosphere in our yards and to a certain extent, in the

tunnel. This included disposal of 55 gallon drums, coordinating spill clean ups, retrieval

and disposal of old oil filters and old oil. One of my many responsibilities as an

Environmental Coordinator to the MTA on behalf of Dragados USA was producing a bi-

annual report to the MTA of our disposal of materials and fuel usage.

Warehouse Manager/Assistant Purchaser-Shipping & Receiving/Environmental

Coordinator:

My daily responsibilities included maintaining an organized and clean warehouse.

Restocking our inventory when quantities dictated and supplying the tunnel workers with

materials necessary for daily activities. As an assistant to the purchaser, I would talk to

our vendors, help out with the paperwork and travel to many companies to attain spare

parts instrumental to the project continuity. As our purchaser’s assistant, I also

coordinated with the receiving end in our yard to efficiently coordinate the incoming

shipments to the attention of those who ordered the items received. All of the

responsibilities stated are mine including the responsibility of Environmental Coordinator

to present date.

My daily responsibilities included maintaining an organized inventory of supplies and

purchasing when needed. Restocking our inventory when quantities dictate and

supplying the tunnel workers with tools and materials necessary for daily activities. As a

Purchaser for CM009/CM019, I would talk to our vendors; process the paperwork

(PO#’s) and travel to companies to acquire spare parts instrumental to the project’s

completion. Until my last day of employment, I was still coordinating deliveries of

incoming shipments to their final destinations here at our jobsite and throughout the

project. All of the responsibilities stated were mine including the responsibility of

Environmental Coordinator to the MTA.
