Personal Profile

I have been a Construction Superintendent for nearly twenty-three years,

working in both union and non-union environments on projects ranging in

size from several hundred- thousand dollars to over $100 million. During

this time, I have acquired the construction knowledge, technical skills and

communication tools necessary to be successful in a modern environment that

places extraordinary schedule and profit pressures on builders. The past 10

years have been spent primarily working in industrial and healthcare

environments, with additional larger commercial projects included

As a superintendent, my responsibilities have included the following:

. Preconstruction work including a thorough review of blueprint,

specifications and project scope to looks for any omissions or

constructability problems that would require an RFI. Generate such

RFIs, review with management team as needed, and direct them to the

appropriate architect or engineer.

. Work with project team to clarify scope of work for each trade to

ensure thoroughness in buy-out. Assist in selection and qualification

process of potential subcontractors.

. Develop a project schedule. Maintain an updated schedule throughout

project. Reflect within schedule any delays relating to owner issues

(i.e., change orders), or weather that might impact contracted

completion date. Generate each week a three-week look-ahead schedule

specifically targeting work each trade is required to perform during

that period.

. Manage daily construction operations. Using subcontracts, schedules,

and project documents, manage subcontractors and vendors in order to

deliver project to ownership on time and within budget. Hold weekly

subcontractor meetings during which three-week schedules are presented

and discussed, safety topics and concerns are addressed, as well as

coordination between trades.

. Manage safety of jobsite using GC safety policies and OSHA regulations

and require safety recordkeeping from subcontractors.

. Interface with regulatory agencies that oversee project, and work with

local inspectors and authorities in completing permitting requirements

and certifications to receive Certificate of Occupancy.

. Meet with PM on a regular basis to review job costs and budget, change

orders and schedule updates. Document communications with PM, owners,

architects, engineers and trades via email, meeting minutes, etc.

. Maintain current record drawings on site and manage any supplemental

communications and drawings from architect and engineers. Manage

regular updating of as-built drawings by trades, and preserve and

prepare them for turnover as part of closeout documents.

. Keep current daily reports, logs and project photos and other required

records.

. Manage with a goal of maximum quality throughout the project to

minimize punch items at the conclusion of the project.

. During my tenure as a PM, I have also been responsible for

preconstruction bidding and buyout, writing and administration of

contracts, forecast outcome and budget management, change order

administration and financial closeout.

Spectrum Commercial Core Gilbert AZ 16 Million

120,000 SF three-story structural steel office and retail center,

including build-out of 45,000 SF fitness center, with additional two-

story parking garage.

Intel RA-3 Building Hillsboro OR 125 Million

440,000 SF manufacturing and computer support building, including a

commercial kitchen and restaurant and a 50,000 SF computer floor.

Mesa Fine Arts Center Mesa AZ 93 Million

The Center's seven-acre campus encompasses four theaters of varying

sizes, five art galleries, 14 art studios, classrooms and administrative

offices.

Southeast Michigan Surgical Hospital Warren MI 6 Million

Added new floor to hospital with four new operating rooms, new sub-

sterile, med gas system and new patient rooms and administrative offices,

during which existing hospital operations and surgeries remained

uninterrupted.

Vision Offices Scottsdale AZ 8 Million

Four-story structural steel office building including two level basement

and underground parking garage. Building includes full fitness center,

basketball court and restaurant.

Steindler Orthopedic Center Iowa City IA 10 Million

52,000 SF orthopedic clinic, including radiology and MRI, ambulatory

surgery, and PT and rehab facilities..

Mt. Graham Regional Hospital Thatcher AZ 3 Million

Oncology building adjacent to hospital, including radiology and imaging,

infusion and other

Koll Northpoint Office Complex Phoenix AZ 11 Million

Twin structural concrete office buildings, each 94,000 SF, situated on 13

Copper Queen Hospital Bisbee, AZ 2 Million

Mercy Medical Center Johnston IA 3 Million

24 room patient care facility, including urgent care, radiology and
