in analytical chemistry to contribute to the fields of environmental

science, chemistry, food science, pesticide industry and

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

. More than 10 years of professional experience in analytical chemistry

and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills special for

organic chemistry, wet chemistry, stability analysis, and working in

accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) requirement.

. Extensive background in Mass spectrometry such as high-performance

(or ultra-performance) liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry

(HPLC or UPLC/MS/MS) and Gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry

(GC/MS/MS).

. Experience in wastewater, groundwater, and drinking water analysis

for EPA regulation assessment as well as experience in pesticide

analysis for formulation, processing and technical samples.

. Excellent management and organization skills and training a large

team of Ph.D and master candidates and carry out various operations

experience of working efficiently and effectively in high pressure

environment.

. Several years for Organic chemical synthesis (pesticides). Formal

SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES

. Using, maintenance and trouble-shooting of analytical instruments

such as HPLC, GC, GC/MS, MALDI-ToF/ToF, GC/MS/MS, UPLC-MS/MS(TQ and

QToF)

compounds skills in beverage, plant, tar, soil, sludge, wastewater,

human blood and human milk in addition to basic analytical laboratory

skills: these compounds including Organochlorine pesticides (OCPs),

. Developed and validated methodologies, and conducted experiments for

quantitative and qualitative analysis of pesticides such as Bidrin,

permethrin, befenthrin, fenamiphos, naled, PCNB, DDVP, TCNB, cyfluthrin,

Ethoprophos, etc in formulation sample, processing sample, air sample,

water sample and technical sample using HPLC (NP or RP), GC (FID TCD)

and GC/MS.

. Spectroscopic interpretation and impurity analysis for processing sample

steroid hormones and 1694 - for pharmaceuticals and personal care

products (PPCP) in wastewater, sludge and soil by using HRGC/MS and

HPLC/MS/MS.

. Developed, submitted, and filed reports on clients sample tests,

correlation tests and validation. These clients included Pfizer, Johnson

& Johnson, Philadelphia water department and US Environmental Protection

Agency (EPA).

. Trained and helped students and other researchers in the WET Center on

analytical chemistry parts including pretreatment samples and instrument

. Conducted experiments for extraction, purification, quantitative and

qualitative analysis of trace POPs in environmental and biological

samples using GC-MS and HP LC-MS.

09/2001-7/2004 Research Assistant (Master Student) Department of Chemistry,

Jinan University, Guangdong, China

. Designed a simple robust synthesis methodology and conducted experiments

to synthesize 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophthalonitrile, 2,3,5,6-

tetrafluorobenzoic acid, methyl 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzoic acid, 2,3,5,6-

tetrafluorobenzyl alcohol. Those compounds are important intermediates

for pesticides.

. Developed isolation methods for all target compounds and analytical

methods to characterize all products synthesized using analytical

instruments such as FTIR, GC-MS, element analyzer and 1H NMR.
