Career Objective: To re-enter the workforce in the Pacific Northwest as a

Prior Experience: Employed with Hewlett Packard for 19 years as Customer

Field

Service Engineer, servicing Digital, Compaq and Hewlett-Packard product

lines of minicomputers. Duties included strong customer relations with

timely follow-up and expeditious repair to minimize system downtime and

diffuse customer tension.

November 1, 2005 to December 22, 2006: Hewlett-Packard, Salt Lake City,

Utah. Field Service Engineer servicing all pre-merger Compaq/Digital

Equipment Corporation equipment/Proliant servers, Alpha servers, VAX

servers, as well training on pre-merger HP equipment; servers/blade

servers/ tape libraries, Wells Fargo and Cisco networking equipment, and

U.S. Postal Service equipment. Duties required strong professional

customer service skills.

December 21, 1987 to October 31, 2005: Hewlett-Packard, Bellevue,

Washington. Customer Field Service Engineer primarily for Boeing Company

throughout Puget Sound area. Performed installation, repair, and technical

support on pre-merger Digital/Compaq equipment/Proliant servers, VAX

servers, Alpha servers, robotic tape libraries, as well as Hewlett-Packard

equipment and servers, and LPS 20, LPS40 Laser printers made by Ricoh.

Daily contact with customers required ongoing follow-up on repair issues

and ability to develop professional, trust building relationships, as well

as ability to diffuse customer anxiety and tension due to complex

maintenance requirements. Software knowledge includes Windows, VMS, Unix,

Microsoft Word.

March 1982 to December 1986: System Industries, Kirkland, Washington.

Field Service Engineer supporting Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Performed

installation and maintenance repair service on System Industries disk drive

and tape drive gear interfacing with Digital Equipment Corporation VAX

servers.

Utah. Primary driver, transporting motorcycles to and from dealership,

building rapport with local customers. Also perform miscellaneous service

department maintenance and dealership duties as requested. Position

requires daily interface with customers in stressful situations.

October 1, 2007 to September 30, 2008: Destination Harley Davidson,

Puyallup, Washington. Parts technician, shipping and receiving clerk, and

part-time driver, delivering motorcycles to and from dealership. Strong

customer service skills required.

April 19, 2007 to September 22, 2007: Zion Harley Davidson, Washington,

Utah. Primary driver, transporting motorcycles to and from dealership, and

perform service department maintenance and miscellaneous dealership duties

as requested.
