Assigned to DLA Disposition Services Bagram, Afghanistan as Material Management Supervisor.

Responsible for the daily functions of demilitarization operation which includes, but not limited to: customer service,

equipment dispatch, material handling operations, and storage.

Supervise 41 personnel in the demilitarization and disposal through reutilization, transfer, donation, and sales (R/T/D/S) of

excess and unserviceable DOD property involving a large variety of specialized items and equipment.

Responsible for receiving excess and unserviceable government property including hazardous materials and waste, ensures

property is effectively and efficiently accounted for. All turn-in items accompanied by DD Form 1348-1A and other supporting

documents.

Process items in accordance with DOD 4160.21-M Defense Material Disposition Manual and made available to military units

and contractors for reutilization, transfer, donation, and sales (R/T/D/S).

Receive over 50 truckloads of government property every week.

Identify and verify DEMIL and condition codes and process them accordingly.

Assist in the preparation of hazardous waste for disposal.

Oversee the disposal contracts, keeping an eye with trained subordinates on the physical loading and transfer of demilitarized

and scrap items to contractors.

Dispose over 6 million pounds of scrap and demilitarized property every month.

Responsible for the operations and maintenance of equipment including plasma cutters ESAB 1600s, ESAB 210s, ESAB 300

Deuce packs, propane cutting torch, Petrogen cutting torch, material handling equipment (MHEs) such as 35K Doosan forklift

all terrain, 10k JCB forklift all terrain, 5k JCB forklift all terrain, 20k John Deere front end loader, scrap handler and Granutech

shredder.

Responsible for the safety of all workers.

Conduct safety briefings every day, making sure that all personnel are wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPEs)

and abide all safety rules and regulations, resulting in an accident free environment.

A team player, working together with the Chief of DLA Disposition.

Command Logistics Specialist Senior Chief (E-8) May 2000-November 2010

United States Navy Reserve- Fort Lewis, WA

Constant Supervision and training 18-24 military enlisted personnel in the reserve unit whose mission is to support DLA

Disposition Services mission of reutilization, transfer, donation, and sales (RTDS) of unserviceable and excess/surplus of

government properties.

Acting as Unit Career Counselor. Making sure team members are up to date with career opportunities, programs, and

promotions.

Conducts on and off-site training and orientation on the DRMO Reutilization Program.

Promotes the RTDS Programs to customers and assists DoD and other Federal agencies in screening/selecting property for

reutilization; coordinates with generators and screeners to ensure requirements are met; conducts utilization on-and off-site

seminars; analyzes program to suggest innovative uses of excess/surplus property.

Serve as the Disposal Service Representative (DSR). DSRs implement the Service Delivery Methods developed by Disposition

Services to better serve our customers with a consistent property mix.

Conduct training on how to use the DRMS website for submittal or disposal requirements and also instruct customers on how

to search and requisition items from the DRMO website.

Provides assistance to DoD, Federal Agencies and authorized donor customers in screening and selecting property for

reutilization.

Serves as Contracting Officers’ Representative (COR), responsibilities include: to ensure the contactor completes all work on

the task order, to notify the COR if performance is not proceeding satisfactorily in writing.

Deployed to Iraq as Property Disposal Specialist, DRMO- Central Collection Pt. Al Asad, Iraq from Feb 2005 to Aug 2005.

Supported Operation Iraqi Freedom by significantly contributing to joint efforts in receiving property valued $20 Million and

reutilizing property valued at over $870.000 to operational forces in Iraq.

Deployed to Afghanistan in support for Operation Enduring Freedom as Property Disposal Specialist, DRMO Bagram from May

2007 to December 2007, and September 2009 to October 2010

Train and educate soldiers as well as civilian contractors in Bagram Air Field and outlaying Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) the

proper disposal requirements set by the Department of Defense.

Coordinate and supervise the removal of scrap metal and transfer DEMIL required property to DRMO Bagram for

demilitarization.

Update the DRMS Afghanistan website, gathering and compiling the information needed to keep it current and informative.

Assist customers with preparation of all documents in regards to turning material into DRMO Bagram.

Performed the duties and responsibilities as DRMO Operation Chief, supervising all yard operations and preparing

management reports.

Assisted military units in reutilization and demilitarization of government owned items, saving the US government over $5

million.
