administering budgets, controlling costs and expenses, managing cash flow, issuing purchase orders,
overseeing audit processes, preparing reports and spreadsheets, and managing banking relationships.
Instrumental in providing ongoing support to management and sales team with cost and inventory analysis.
Also responsible for IT and HR functions, including handling payroll and benefits administration.
• Directed the successful conversion of financials from cash basis to GAAP basis.
SKINNER NURSERIES, INC., Jacksonville, Florida 2007 - 2008
Assistant Controller
Scope of responsibilities included administering all facets of accounting operations, including preparing
monthly Board of Directors management reports, analyzing financial results, and summarizing findings with
recommendations as necessary. Accountable for leading the budgeting and forecasting process, in addition to
analyzing budget variances, product profitability, and cost for enhancement of multiple cost centers. Also
responsible for providing support to department managers.
