ClaimSphere - Cognizant's end-to-end Enterprise Reporting Solution,

collates data from various information sources of MCO, and generates

reports to operational and analytical requirements. Thus, ClaimSphere

integrates data across Lines of Businesses & across applications to offer

reports in the areas of Claims, Member-Subscriber, Provider, Billing,

Commission and Utilization Management.

ClaimSphere consists of an Operational Data Store, a Data-

Warehouse/Analytical Data Store, a set of commonly used Canned Reports, KPI

Dashboards for top management use, Analytics derived from analyzing the

enterprise data on multiple dimensions, and ETL loads.

Operational Data Store and Analytical Data Store

De-normalized Operational Data Store (ODS) and analytical data in

multi-dimensional Analytical Data Store (ADS) for analytical and ad-

hoc reporting.

such as volume, performance and complexity of calculation involved

in the Reports. This rigorous approach to data model design

translates into tremendous benefits for ClaimSphere customers in

terms of enhanced performance through fast and efficient report

generation.

required to analyze and report upon for operational activities.

Extracts from the production system database (or its replica) are

loaded into the Operational Data Store (ODS). The ODS thus contains

current data and minimum history.

reporting tool. The range of the reports includes areas such as

provider affairs, claims processing efficiency, group/member

affairs, utilization management etc. These reports would address a
