INTRODUCTION
I’ve been making music for God’s people since I was in high school. God has given me the privilege of leading His people in worship throughout my life in many denominations, on three continents, and in three different languages. I’ve been excited in these last three years to learn much more about the administrative and technical aspects of the worship service, and I can’t help but appreciate immensely the true acts of service given by volunteers to the church. I’ve played piano since I was 10, guitar since I was 13, bass since college, and most recently have taken up drumming. I desire to live the gift that God has given me in service to His people for the encouragement and strengthening of His church.

Contemporary Worship Director
I have assembled and maintained our worship band for the last 3 years, choosing music that is worshipful, lyrically deep, and musically challenging for the level of our volunteers. While most of our worship falls smoothly into the CCM category, I also choose music from across many genres, styles, and meters to challenge the body of Christ to see the worship of our Lord from a fresh perspective.
I am responsible for all PowerPoint and video in our service as well as graphic design for advertising and promotional materials; this includes not only image design and editing, but calibration for video and print. Our praise band participates seasonally in television broadcasts and regional concerts to serve our community in Christ. I also designed and maintain the bulletin for the contemporary service in Microsoft Publisher.
James Anderegg Private Guitar and Piano Lessons: September 2007 – Present
Guitar and Piano Instructor
I have taught piano and guitar since college but ceased lessons when I went to teach English in Japan in 2004. Teaching music (and English) has taught me that no two people learn the same way; patience and the creativity to approach concepts from new perspectives are key. Also, a relaxed atmosphere makes learning easier as long as I maintain for them an expectation of effort and excellence. I have sought to bring these precepts to the sanctuary rehearsal space as well.

Multimedia and Web Design
Although brief, my stay at CSRA Multimedia was my introduction to graphic design. I learned Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver as well as Final Cut Pro. I restored audio for CDs and made and designed labels for CD and DVD. I was fully involved in the process of making videos of local equestrian competitions, from location recording to DVD authoring. Unfortunately, the owner’s startup was not successful enough to maintain its employees.
