I have started out at HealthPoint as an extern student. In that time I have had the opportunity to work with

several providers in a variety of fields, such as naturopathic, dermatology, pediatrics, and family practice w/ ob.

I have shadowed many medical assistants as well as ran the lab. I am a very responsible individual with a lot of

Medical Assistant:

• Roomed patients in a timely manner. Preformed vitals for example blood pressures, O2 stats,

temperatures, respirations, heights and weights, I also collect past medical history.

• Set up and assist providers with procedures as well as minor surgeries, and cleaning plus autoclaving

for instrument sterilization.

• Performed injections on child along with adults

• Performed duties like EKG’s, ear lavages, spirometry, audiometry, vision acuity, nebulizer treatment.

• In the lab I completed various blood draws and test like urine dips and urine pregnancy, wet preps,

hemoglobin’s, glucose and A1C finger sticks.

• Scheduled patient for a range of appointments including referrals, in addition to requesting medical

records. I also did high-risk tracking for mammograms and diabetes managements.

• Triage patient for homecare advice and appointments and respond to patient phone calls and refill

request.

• I am currently the back up medical assistant and also a super-user. I am proficient in Microsoft office,

EMR/Nextgen.
